She might've also been somewhat hoarsed. The cast kept performing and not missing any show back when Rent began, even when sick, so their voices got tired. I've heard an interview where she says that footage of songs from back then was not how she really sounded on a normal day. I do believe her voice and the way she uses it has evolved, just maybe not as much as we think since we don't have access to many recordings from that time...

Idina seems to be aging in reverse! I mean I barely even recognized her here. She somehow looks like 50 times better now which I don't know how thats possible. Maybe because she was broke before and after RENT could actually afford to get her hair cut. Lol I love Idina but her hair is fucking Crazy here! haha
Even Idina presented herself with red numbers (loosing money) which is both sad, and kind of of hopeful at the same time for musicians 🤷 (cause even now- established people went thru it)

This is amazing!! I love that she paid the musicians, got her friends in for free and end up losing money but kept on doing it. haha.
