I watched this story about a year ago. I used to think it was true because of the story her former adoptive parents created. But later, evidence on her age was attained and a testament was given by one of her childhood friends and pictures of her childhood even surfaced. Looks like her adoptive parents were liars after all.
I didn’t believe the parents. It’s obvious they have hidden agendas which one of those is to live in Canada to support their gifted autistic son. And the biggest evidence was her skin. I as an Asian can be mistaken as an early 20s or late teens if I go to western countries. Even to my country I look like 5 or more years younger. I am 31 yo. But if you take a closer look I don’t have the skin like the people 5-10 years younger than me. It just that my facial bone structures and facial features except the skin are neonatal- like. I don’t have fine line wrinkles and I have just developed smile line but not that obvious But my skin is really not that young.
The adoptive mother was a real loo-loo. Very odd..both of the parents. But, the kid was urinating on the siblings and tossing poo at them the SUV. She was also sexually aggressive..with the Psychiatric Hospital Male patients and staff..and she eerily stalked the Apartment Complex she lived in. The series is worth watching...twist and turns you never see coming. I do believe she is older than stated..by how much I do not know...but advanced enough to have that sexuality craving.

The worse thing that can ever happen to a child, is being accused for a crime you didn’t commit and being feared by others when you really want friends. That kind of loneliness changes you completely. She’s lucky she got a new family, but scars remain.
My jaw literally dropped when you went into detail. She looked so innocent, I didn’t see any of that coming. However, I doubt the girl’s an adult. My heart broke when they said “She’s lonely and just wants someone to talk to”. Besides, if she really did terrorise the Barnett family as they claim, how come the new adoptive family never complained at all? She seemed so genuinely hurt in the interview with Dr Phil. And besides, even if she did have blood and hair down there, she may have been 10-13 at the time, not necessarily an adult.
It's true I believe she is an innocent. Since the whole family go's against here I don't think she has the courage to defend here self and tell the real fact especially she was isolated alone. Those parents they can say whatever they want spreading lies to here cus they know she doesn't have anyone on here side witnessing the truth. just to have a reason to disintegrate here from the family. You can totally tell in her face. How she totally looks like a six-year-old. And now that she's matured, her face is older, so she even sounds different. They totally abandoned a kid and gave it its own apartment. How the hell do you get the birth papers changed so easily?

They tested her spine and they said that he's 14 years old. And that was after she was adopted by the other people many years later.

This was disproved, multiple times. The adoptive parents were inspired by the movie Orphan. They acquired false documents saying she was older which was later found out when she was no longer in the care of that abusive family that essentially ruined her life. I’m pretty sure the girl’s birth mom even said something about it.
This whole incident reminds me of the movie "Orphan" (2009) If you have watched the movie you know what I mean. The way the Barnetts described that Natalia tried to kill them is so familiar with the movie (where Esther the character is actually evil and she tried to kill her adoptive parents and siblings). Maybe the Barnetts wanted to get rid of her but also wanted to look good to the society. If Natalia was really an evil person then she would keep doing the same thing to her new adoptive parents. I think the Barnetts were "inspired" by the movie and made all this up.
I watched the documentary on ID. She was actually a child that they no longer wanted. They abused her and put her in an apartment in a very bad neighborhood. Her biological mother was actually interviewed and confirmed her birthday. Natasha's mother actually said that the hospital she had her at talked her into giving her child up for adoption. This situation is very sad and the people that adopted her should've been put in prison.
To me she not only looked like a 6-year-old at the start of her adoption, she continued to age like one too. If she’d been 20 when she got here, her appearance wouldn’t have changed the way it did. She looked like a child growing up, not an adult getting older. But whatever the truth, couldn’t it have been cleared up in minutes through a simple dental exam?
Exactly! People will actually believe strangers over their own eyes! Anyone can clearly see she has baby teeth and missing baby teeth in the pictures of her as a kid, yet the monster barrettes want people to believe she's supposed to be a grown woman in those photos.

He seems to be attempting to cover up the fact that he most likely sexually abused her. Blood in her underwear, clearly something was happening to her. This young lady recently had her age confirmed by geneticists and she was indeed a child at the time of adoption. There was no pretending. Just evil adoptive parents that no longer wanted to care for a disabled child.

I think that a bad fit hurts everyone, all around. There should be a time frame in which the children should be able to be returned without reprocussions so that a more suitable home could be found like the way this second home was found where both she and her new adoptive parents are happy with each other.

She was not a grown woman. She was a child a few years older than what was told. That horrible adoptive mother very early on mentioned the movie Orphan, which says she was freaked out with the connection in her mind. And as openly abusive as the abusive adoptive mother was to Natalia on her own videos, it is no wonder the child, (which she was), stored knives under her bed for protection.

Just to clear it up for anybody who hasn't already figured it out, the movie Orphan was not based off of this case, that was inspired by a much older case involving a woman that went by the name of Barbara Sklorva. The movie came out in 2009, one year before Natalia was adopted in 2010. It is my theory that the Barnett's based their story on the movie Orphan. Also, Natalia was 100% proven to be born in 2003. Her birth mother was tracked down and confirmed through DNA evidence, to be her true birth mother, who then not only provided documentation proving that Natalia was in fact born in 2003, but was also far too young to possibly have a 22 year old child in 2010.
Natalia is definately not evil. Im surprised shes turned out so lovely, having been surrounded by so called grown ups, who are without feeling. All the adults around her are the evil ones. The Ukraine Orphanage Supplied Birth Certificate with a birth year of 2003 is bogus and Could never be verified. Happy that she has the family she deserves. Regardless of anything, no one in a vulnerable position regardless of age should be left unattended when they aren't capable of caring for themselves independently. It's cruel and inhumane.
My wife and I are parents of 2 adopted daughters, and they were some times challenging. But with love and prayers, we made it through. Now we have 2 wonderful grandchildren. This picture shows she still has her baby teeth, and one of them has fallen out. She is clearly a child.
I read up on this the girl really was a minor and the adoptive parents did not want her due to all the medical issues last I check they were arrested for child abandonment after it was revealed Anatolia was indeed under 18
Looking at this girl’s pictures, you can tell how young she is by the structure of her face. Adoption agencies need to start allowing people to return kids, at least within a year’s time, as sad as that sounds, without repercussions, to ensure these kids safety from people like this. There are too many people in the world today who just aren’t trustworthy.
Something that appears to have been over looked. When a child experiences too much repeated stress, it causes the body to produce more hormones. Inadvertently, because of the higher than usual hormones for that age, puberty begins prematurely. From hair in the private region and armpits, to even menstrual cycle. From the stress of not having a family to being brought in to one that seemingly did not show her love, it was just too much for her physically and psychologically. Another thing that I didn't see mentioned was dental records. From the photos taken by the first adoptive family, she appeared to still be losing her baby teeth. This alone would prove she was still a child. The basic science was there. It should not have been this complicated.

She killed the families that adopted her when she started making sexual advances on the fathers, she was rejected. She sounds like a native English speaker. To get that good at English coming from the Ukraine, she would have to be very young. Her brain was young enough to be able to advance to native level pronunciation, so it seems like she was actually a kid when she came over.
Thanks for mentioning that. I didn't notice. I learned English when I was 14 and I can pretty much speak English. I'm now 21. But my pronunciation can never get to the level that the girl had. And I'm interested in the pic of the girl with a tooth messing. I'm interested in the time frame it was taken in.

She was really a child! And was put through hell! Her bio mother did an interview and said when she was born and totally regrets giving her up because she went through so much hell in her life

I don't believe the Barnetts for a very simple reason. In the pictures where she's with them from the very beginning, her incisors are still in a growing period. Her teeth were not completely grown which is unnatural and almost impossible for a 20-year-old alleged by her so-called 'parents'. They trapped this poor kid into all of it. Maybe 'I am poisoning you' is a tiny sarcasm or maybe not even real. These people are terrible for having trapped a child like this. Edit: The psychiatrist was probably paid to say so and if you see Natalia's recent pictures, she actually looks like a 20-year-old who has dwarfism. Edit 2: For the people saying she sounds like a teenager, it is sometimes natural for children to sound deeper and much older than their age. For example, I put forward myself. I had a pretty deep voice from a young age and some of my peers would point it out. I too sounded extremely blunt when I used to sing and I definitely did not sound like a 7-year-old. And again, if she does sound like a teenager then her 'parents' wouldn't have accused her of being a 20-year-old. Edit 3: The Barnetts neither have videographic nor photographic proof of what they are stating. While through the instants on pictures and videos, we can actually take hints that she's a child. I watched the documentary and she didn't look like an adult dwarf to me. Especially when she was shown as a teenager, you could tell her facial features changed, she looked more grown. I just felt bad for her, given her sad beginnings and a little confused about the story of the mom and dad. I just hope there's a happy ending for all.

Preschool girl started growing pubic hair due to contact with father who had been using sexual stimulus cream. He would wash after using it obviously but the residue in his skin still affected his daughter's hormones.

Creepy story. Had neighbors who adopted a "2 yr old" from Romanian orphanage. Turns out she was at least 8 or 9. She had been physically stunted and mentally damaged by neglect and abuse despite being born normal. The orphanage lied to get a pay day.

In 2010 she had full teeth in that area that grew back which means she had baby teeth in 2009. *6/2010 - medical exam estimated ~8 years old (Barnetts claimed doc said 14 but this is confirmed to be a lie). *9/2010 - she has surgery and X-ray showed open growth plates which indicates a person is not in even early adulthood. *5/2011 - dentist estimated ~8-9 based on dental exam and X-rays. *6/2012 - doc estimated ~11years old after complete exam and bone density scan (NOT 22 as some claim) *Michael’s (adopted dad) PCP supposedly wrote a letter saying he thought she was an adult without a single shred of physical clinical evidence that was provable. Please note, this letter was never verified as legitimate. *In 2012 a judge randomly decided she was 22 years old and changed the date of birth to 1989. *Her birth mother (confirmed by DNA) confirmed Natalia was born in 2003. Her mother was born in 1979 which means she would have had Natalia at age 10 if Natalia was supposedly born in 1989. *You can clearly see her grow and age to her current age of 20 by looking at photos over the years by simply googling. No, her height does not change (she has dwarfism), but her face clearly matures from a child to an adolescent to the young adult that she is in 2023. Dwarfism is not a superpower that makes you age slowly. Their facial features, skin, bone and joints will age just like everyone else. *There is not a single shred of provable evidence that she was an adult. Only speculation and lies. Lies from her parents and lies Natalia herself adopted due to coercion, manipulation and force by the people who should have loved her most. They aged her up to legally abandon her, a minor child with expensive physical disabilities that didn’t meet their image of a perfect family. Nothing curious about this.

The twist was very unexpected and teaches how we should look at both sides of the story before going against someone and besides whatever happened they cant just abondon her like that and totally cut off the relationships knowing how hard it is for her to keep up with life with her disability and also that type of fraud is a very strong claim so they should be careful of what they are talking about...

I feel so sorry for this child. Kids can have their period, pubic hairs and breasts at 9yrs. I did. Every body is different, especially if you have a form of dwarfism or whatever her disability is. I hope she can live the rest or her life normally and find love and peace.

This story unfortunately is true but she was NOT an adult. She was a legit child and her adoptive parents were effing insane. They both should be in prison.
I think the Barnetts made it up. Her tooth was missing in one of the pictures, and her nose and face matured a lot when she was older and on Dr. Phil. It's entirely possible for a child as young as 6 to hit precocious puberty. Why did they choose 22 as her real age on the paperwork without any evidence to back it up? She could have been echoing or copying what the Barnetts said to her when she was making sexual remarks toward staff at the facility.
In live in Westfield, Indiana and I went to school with another dwarf girl named Therese and she had the rare condition that Natalia supposedly had. Natalia and Therese met up where Therese’s bone structure looked younger than Natalia’s. That’s when she got called out. I visited Natalia before with therese and she acted like she wasn’t home even though I saw her through the apartment window.
Do you understand genetics and DNA? There are billions of people in this world and we all have different heights and bone structures than each other. Even as a child that’s the same age as us. duh!!🙄🙄🙄🙄
@@DiamondTheGameChanger The Barnetts did not serve time in jail. The cases against them were dropped. Ukrainian documents are notoriously easy to forge. DNA can only establish a familial connection; it cannot tell you if that older relative is the mother.
It's a really good lesson on how unfeeling some people really are, Wether Natalia was a child or a teenager, this poor girl was desperate for some love, that's all that's all she's doing, crying out for some love, and all people can do is treat her like an evil freak. If she could have been put with a family who really loved her, she would have been fine. All kids do things that she done if not given love and understanding.

This case was very interesting and once i saw in discovery ID channel the case of Natalia it gives you so many details that the adoptive parents made up and said its like 4-5 hours but worth watching it includes what happened in court and everything, not going to lie Natalia went through it and thats really sad

I had a friend who looked like she was 10 while being 17 years old. Doesn't matter what anyone says, we will know the answer in about 5 years; by observing if they are growing or aging. In this case I its clearly a child.
One quack doctor took the abusive parents word for it and signed off that she was an adult. When an actual Dr. Examined her and said she was a child at time of abuse and younger than parents said, the courts would not reverse it. It was not about truth. So upsetting and frustrating and heartbreaking when you learn the actual facts.
@@roems6396 they constantly berated her, left her outside to sleep until the police were called for child neglect (because she wouldn't tell kristine "who she really was"), micheal and kristine's own son, jacob, alleged that kristine had once kicked natalia down the stairs ( 7:21 ), they left her in an apartment to fend for herself and kristine made her stand with her nose against a wall for hours as punishment because she, again "wouldn't tell her who she really was". she allegedly stood there for about 15 hours. she also had feet and back problems *and* she had even pooped in her pants, kristine didn't care though ( 7:29 )

I can't wrap my head around the fact that they thought that she was an adult. If she did (which I doubt is true) hurt anyone or threaten them it was probably because of her life before she got adopted, we dont know the full story on her life before that. We dont know anything about her birth parents either. And just looking at her face now you can see shes older. The fact they tried to abandon her was just really weird, even if they felt endangered they shouldve put her back in the foster care system or something instead of leaving her thats just really disgusting tbh.

There is some evidence that she was a child. I think it is a possibility, but I think she was slightly older than the age they claimed she was (to increase the chances of adoption as more people want a younger child), probably a pre-teen or teen (I think she was 11) because she did seem to mature a little bit in photos. I believe it was a possibility that she was a psychopath as well, as she had probably went through a lot of trauma in her life. I believe if she had this and she probably wasn't treated for it properly causing her symptoms to worsen and they didn't know how to handle it which scared her parents resulting in them putting her in an apartment alone. This is completely wrong, even for a special needs adult and I completely believe they deserve to be charged with neglect as she is not capable of living alone, she is dependent on others to help her. They should have handled the situation way better, even if she was an adult they probably could have put her in a special needs center or something. I believe that her new parents knew how to treat her better and get her the proper help she needs and as a result wouldn't have to deal with this as a result.

I didn’t believe the parents. It’s obvious they have hidden agendas which one of those is to live in Canada to support their gifted autistic son. And the biggest evidence was her skin. I as an Asian can be mistaken as an early 20s or late teens if I go to western countries. Even to my country I look like 5 or more years younger. I am 31 yo. But if you take a closer look I don’t have the skin like the people 5-10 years younger than me. It just that my facial bone structures and facial features except the skin are neonatal- like. I don’t have fine line wrinkles and I have just developed smile line but not that obvious But my skin is really not that young.

The adoptive mother was a real loo-loo. Very odd..both of the parents. But, the kid was urinating on the siblings and tossing poo at them the SUV. She was also sexually aggressive..with the Psychiatric Hospital Male patients and staff..and she eerily stalked the Apartment Complex she lived in. The series is worth watching...twist and turns you never see coming. I do believe she is older than stated..by how much I do not know...but advanced enough to have that sexuality craving.

My jaw literally dropped when you went into detail. She looked so innocent, I didn’t see any of that coming. However, I doubt the girl’s an adult. My heart broke when they said “She’s lonely and just wants someone to talk to”. Besides, if she really did terrorise the Barnett family as they claim, how come the new adoptive family never complained at all? She seemed so genuinely hurt in the interview with Dr Phil. And besides, even if she did have blood and hair down there, she may have been 10-13 at the time, not necessarily an adult.

The way the Barnetts described that Natalia tried to kill them is so familiar with the movie (where Esther the character is actually evil and she tried to kill her adoptive parents and siblings). Maybe the Barnetts wanted to get rid of her but also wanted to look good to the society. If Natalia was really an evil person then she would keep doing the same thing to her new adoptive parents. I watched the documentary on ID. She was actually a child that they no longer wanted. They abused her and put her in an apartment in a very bad neighborhood. Her biological mother was actually interviewed and confirmed her birthday. Natasha's mother actually said that the hospital she had her at talked her into giving her child up for adoption. This situation is very sad and the people that adopted her should've been put in prison.
To me she not only looked like a 6-year-old at the start of her adoption, she continued to age like one too. If she’d been 20 when she got here, her appearance wouldn’t have changed the way it did. I think that a bad fit hurts everyone, all around. There should be a time frame in which the children should be able to be returned without reprocussions so that a more suitable home could be found like the way this second home was found where both she and her new adoptive parents are happy with each other.

Just to clear it up for anybody who hasn't already figured it out, the movie Orphan was not based off of this case, that was inspired by a much older case involving a woman that went by the name of Barbara Sklorva. The movie came out in 2009, one year before Natalia was adopted in 2010. It is my theory that the Barnett's based their story on the movie Orphan. Also, Natalia was 100% proven to be born in 2003. Her birth mother was tracked down and confirmed through DNA evidence, to be her true birth mother, who then not only provided documentation proving that Natalia was in fact born in 2003, but was also far too young to possibly have a 22 year old child in 2010.

I read up on this the girl really was a minor and the adoptive parents did not want her due to all the medical issues last I check they were arrested for child abandonment after it was revealed Anatolia was indeed under 18

Looking at this girl’s pictures, you can tell how young she is by the structure of her face. Adoption agencies need to start allowing people to return kids, at least within a year’s time, as sad as that sounds, without repercussions, to ensure these kids safety from people like this. There are too many people in the world today who just aren’t trustworthy.
Something that appears to have been over looked. When a child experiences too much repeated stress, it causes the body to produce more hormones. Inadvertently, because of the higher than usual hormones for that age, puberty begins prematurely. From hair in the private region and armpits, to even menstrual cycle.
From the stress of not having a family to being brought in to one that seemingly did not show her love, it was just too much for her physically and psychologically.
Another thing that I didn't see mentioned was dental records. From the photos taken by the first adoptive family, she appeared to still be losing her baby teeth. This alone would prove she was still a child.
The basic science was there. It should not have been this complicated.

She killed the families that adopted her when she started making sexual advances on the fathers, she was rejected. She sounds like a native English speaker. To get that good at English coming from the Ukraine, she would have to be very young. Her brain was young enough to be able to advance to native level pronunciation, so it seems like she was actually a kid when she came over.

I don't believe the Barnetts for a very simple reason. In the pictures where she's with them from the very beginning, her incisors are still in a growing period. Her teeth were not completely grown which is unnatural and almost impossible for a 20-year-old alleged by her so-called 'parents'. They trapped this poor kid into all of it. Maybe 'I am poisoning you' is a tiny sarcasm or maybe not even real. These people are terrible for having trapped a child like this.
Edit: The psychiatrist was probably paid to say so and if you see Natalia's recent pictures, she actually looks like a 20-year-old who has dwarfism.
Edit 2: For the people saying she sounds like a teenager, it is sometimes natural for children to sound deeper and much older than their age. For example, I put forward myself. I had a pretty deep voice from a young age and some of my peers would point it out. I too sounded extremely blunt when I used to sing and I definitely did not sound like a 7-year-old.
And again, if she does sound like a teenager then her 'parents' wouldn't have accused her of being a 20-year-old.

Well this story isn’t like that. A lot of things he missed in the story Natalia really was a minor and the adoptive parents had a history of abandoning kids after taking the money 💰. Which is why they’re in jail and Natalia ended up in foster care but then got readopted.

*In 2009 there is a picture of her with missing front teeth. In 2010 she had full teeth in that area that grew back which means she had baby teeth in 2009.
*6/2010 - medical exam estimated ~8 years old (Barnetts claimed doc said 14 but this is confirmed to be a lie).
*9/2010 - she has surgery and X-ray showed open growth plates which indicates a person is not in even early adulthood.
*5/2011 - dentist estimated ~8-9 based on dental exam and X-rays.
*6/2012 - doc estimated ~11years old after complete exam and bone density scan (NOT 22 as some claim)
*Michael’s (adopted dad) PCP supposedly wrote a letter saying he thought she was an adult without a single shred of physical clinical evidence that was provable. Please note, this letter was never verified as legitimate.
*In 2012 a judge randomly decided she was 22 years old and changed the date of birth to 1989.
*Her birth mother (confirmed by DNA) confirmed Natalia was born in 2003. Her mother was born in 1979 which means she would have had Natalia at age 10 if Natalia was supposedly born in 1989.

Dwarfism is not a superpower that makes you age slowly. Their facial features, skin, bone and joints will age just like everyone else.

I think the Barnetts made it up. Her tooth was missing in one of the pictures, and her nose and face matured a lot when she was older and on Dr. Phil. It's entirely possible for a child as young as 6 to hit precocious puberty. Why did they choose 22 as her real age on the paperwork without any evidence to back it up? She could have been echoing or copying what the Barnetts said to her when she was making sexual remarks toward staff at the facility.

In live in Westfield, Indiana and I went to school with another dwarf girl named Therese and she had the rare condition that Natalia supposedly had. Natalia and Therese met up where Therese’s bone structure looked younger than Natalia’s. That’s when she got called out. I visited Natalia before with therese and she acted like she wasn’t home even though I saw her through the apartment window.

It's a really good lesson on how unfeeling some people really are, Wether Natalia was a child or a teenager, this poor girl was desperate for some love, that's all that's all she's doing, crying out for some love, and all people can do is treat her like an evil freak. If she could have been put with a family who really loved her, she would have been fine. All kids do things that she done if not given love and understanding.

One quack doctor took the abusive parents word for it and signed off that she was an adult. When an actual Dr. Examined her and said she was a child at time of abuse and younger than parents said, the courts would not reverse it. It was not about truth. So upsetting and frustrating and heartbreaking when you learn the actual facts.

I can't wrap my head around the fact that they thought that she was an adult. If she did (which I doubt is true) hurt anyone or threaten them it was probably because of her life before she got adopted, we dont know the full story on her life before that. We dont know anything about her birth parents either. And just looking at her face now you can see shes older. There is some evidence that she was a child. I think it is a possibility, but I think she was slightly older than the age they claimed she was (to increase the chances of adoption as more people want a younger child), probably a pre-teen or teen (I think she was 11) because she did seem to mature a little bit in photos. I believe it was a possibility that she was a psychopath as well, as she had probably went through a lot of trauma in her life. I believe if she had this and she probably wasn't treated for it properly causing her symptoms to worsen and they didn't know how to handle it which scared her parents resulting in them putting her in an apartment alone. This is completely wrong, even for a special needs adult and I completely believe they deserve to be charged with neglect as she is not capable of living alone, she is dependent on others to help her. They should have handled the situation way better, even if she was an adult they probably could have put her in a special needs center or something. I believe that her new parents knew how to treat her better and get her the proper help she needs and as a result wouldn't have to deal with this as a result.
