ZINNIAS ARE THE BOMB!! I can't grow seeded flowers but ZINNIAS did me proud. We save seed and replant every yr. They are so healthy easy fun to look at. And omg the butterflies love them!!
I have loved using every stage of the sedum for my bouquets. Such a great plant. And as a bonus you can plant it back out into the landscape after you're done
I have giant marigolds. People don't believe me til they see them. I have yellow and orange. I got the seeds at the Dollar Tree. I package 3 years ago. I have so many seeds saved every year. 1 package. Lol
GREAT information and production. Loved your thorough explanations and pics. I'm here in SC making my list too as a home gardener desperate to branch out with flowers. Thank you for your encouragement and instruction. Happy Fall! xo
I also noticed my marigolds do so much better when I sow them in the summer vs the spring. Great list! If you love the large marigolds, try the Coco series. They're huge and I love them!!
Thanks for this list! I’m always looking for easy, hardy plants. Grew zinnias for the first time last year. Love them! I had Queen Lime orange but really looking to branch out. My first time trying cosmos and gomphrena. Cosmos died but will definitely try again. So light and airy. Gomphrena was a clearance aisle plant that did great and is fun. Just collected seeds and hope they will pop up from dropped seeds next spring. Wanting to try larkspur also. Marigolds are looking better right now than they did all summer, collected seeds today. Celosia just pops up in the strangest places but that’s ok. 😁 Was just given a sedum start so hoping it will do well. As always, greatly appreciate the info! It all helps.
Love all of the 10 flowers ! I love using sedums in flower arrangements. I pick them while they are green and they will change to there amazing fall color in water. I mix them with my hydrangeas, amazing! Zinnias are another favorite?
Any hints on keeping the zinnias and cosmos safe from rabbits. I had a temporary fence around a bed with zinnias and marigolds this season. When they got tall and were blooming I took it down. The zinnias were gone in no time. The marigolds are still there even on 10/31. Central Indiana.
Great information. I made my list for next year with zinnias at the top. Purple prince zinnias were my favorite this year and still blooming. BTW those begonias sitting next to you are still amazing! Happy Halloween!
My zinnias died in full sun Texas heat this summer, but reseeded and now I have more than ever zinnias this fall.
+jimmie cheek glad they reseeded! Yes, Texas heat is a bear.

Thank you for a list of robust flowers to grow. Fussy plants require too much devotion for my life.
+Kathryn Mettelka I don’t mind a few fussy ones but I don’t have time to have a garden full of them.
@@shesamadgardener I agree!

I am finally starting my cutting garden! I am in 8a. I will have a raised bed. What soil mix do you recommend?
Just a good quality potting or raised bed soil mixed with compost!
Very interesting!! ⚾️
Glad you think so!

+Jessica Smith in the past, I have used cayenne pepper on top of my soil to keep bunnies away. I used it pretty liberally.
