Dear Eye, could you please give more tips on how to do double jumps? What are the foot positions? Do you snap right away without feeling to do the H position and squeeze down? Thank you so much
Oh yeah, again good advice and fine slo-mo's :) there I can see how you really use your right arm and shoulder when jumping. Thank you and be careful and safe there when jumping on the grass :)
This is a great video. You’re amazing. I can’t believe how tight and high that double axel is. I am working on axels but I can’t get that last 1/4 rotation. I don’t quite understand what you mean about the axis and staying over the pole. Any other ideas that might help me feel the axis? Thanks in advance! Lisa
Awesome! I'm 19 and I plan to start figure-skating very soon when Corona allows it, which means I have absolutely little to no experience with ice-skating at all. I've skated before, yes, but that has been on casual-out-with-friends trips to the rink. I will start taking figure-skating lessons soon hopefully, so I wanted to ask (if you/anyone wants to give some good ol' advice) if it would be a good idea to practice some of these exercises, or maybe some other exercises to kinda prepare my body for actual skating? I was thinking maybe practicing off-ice bunny hop, or trying to get more flexible. What do you think? :)
These exercises are pretty good. Trying to get more flexible is a great idea. If you know how to do a bunny hop or waltz jump you can try but if not then just make sure not to get any bad habits. Hope this helps!
Hey, thanks a lot for the video! I noticed that your knees tend to "fall in" a little when you land. Be careful about that so you don´t cause long-term damage to your body ;) That would be a pity!
A lot of practice!! At first I wasn’t able to do a single jump too, but I kept practicing and now I’m working on my office axel which is going great! I know it’s basic but rly keel trying. It will come eventually
May I ask a question. When you jump, do you use your arms to pull your up or does your body turn first and then the arms are in the check position and look to the right? Why would we need the arms up? Thanks !
I enjoy your videos as I was national level in my teens. I was forced to quit when I broke my back. I've just recently been able to get back into watching it, and like I said I really enjoy your channel... Brings me back! ❤️ But isn't that double axel a little under rotated?? 🤔
Hey! Could you do more off ice exercises for quarantine, please?
Can you show us at home leg exercises? I’m trying to get my legs stronger, specifically for my sit spins and jumps.
I love the video! Eventhough I'm a roller figure skater and the landings and some positions are different, still helpful to practice 💕

Nice work Katie! Very clear, direct, and what most skaters really need right now. Thank you for sharing. Coach Chris
Thank you Katie, cuz we all are missing are rinks
I knowwww 😥
*our rinks
I want to learn this because whenever hanyu yuzuru does his axel jumps it must've felt like he was flying and free...
Omg that was what I was searching for! Off ice jump training. Thank you so much
Thank you so much! The exercises were very helpful, especially the one from your coach. Does anyone have tips for my double flip and double toe?

Stretching routine please❤️
Thanks for the tips. I’m just starting to work on my off ice double axel so it’s like 1/2 rotation cheated still!
Hey! Can you please make a video about how to jump higher?
Tyyy❤️❤️ill try my best
Katie, We love you and follow your career, you just have to be the first! We hold fists for you!

So helpful! I’m still new to skating, so I’m excited to do these exercises

Ah this is so helpful! Thanks
Love the jumping faces 😂🤪
I'd love to see some workout for legs that could help improving sit spins
oh wow! Thank you! I'm going to try and do this everyday!
Thanks Katie!!

Hi Katie, Exercises to jump higher? I can't do a full rotation in the air in the jumps and I don't know how! I await your answer!
A lot of practice!! At first I wasn’t able to do a single jump too, but I kept practicing and now I’m working on my office axel which is going great! I know it’s basic but rly keel trying. It will come eventually
Really helpful 👌
WOW in so early, I miss skating

I'm practicing on my double rotations does anybody have any tips for how to rotate faster on doubles?(I would really appreciate your help❤)
What level or star are you in?
@@yourlocalmother8203 I have off ice single axel double sal toe loop and loop(the loop is under rotated)
Try going into the jump faster, keeping your head (no pre-rotating), and pulling in tight and not opening up. I hope this helps!
Where is your tank top from if you don't mind me asking?
Omg I miss you much Katie 🥺
asombroso! gracias!

when you say jump to the left, do you mean counter-clockwise?
I don’t understand, is it anchoring your head to the left or right?
How many times do we do each exercise for?
If I'm not a figure skater but I'll try to do this and I'll be able to do it on the floor will i be able to actually get it on Ice?
i really want to do some double
I still don't understand the meaning of "stay on ur axis". How to stay on our axis while jumping?
