Hilarious and this stuff now a days woundt be tolerated in 2 seconds. Back when night shows were so great. And also the T.V. show SOAP fantastic times. I was born on 1996 never got to see any one of these fantastic people and good times. Thank God for TH-cam.
I once said to someone , recently, one of the last Non-PC comedians left is Don Rickles.. He passed away today. I met him briefly , once, with the now deceased Charlie Callas.. Great Funny guys, from another better time. I think Don would have said no tears for me buddy, just don't be a Hockey Puck.. Rest In Peace Don. :(

Now with the way media and politics are nobody has a chance it feels like. It's either be one of us or you're nothing. And young kids especially have no chance of being themselves of who they really are. Society has just created this world where you have to fit into the narrative or not be accepted. I think it was eleven months to the day after this when Bob Newhart was guest hosting and Don broke Johnny's cigarette box. The next day Carson discovered the broken box and went across the hall with a camera and broke in on the taping of CPO Sharkey. Great times.

In fact, Rickles appeal as an "act" was primarily due to the hope held by the audience member that he'd say or do something to upset the decorum ; get someone p.o.'d . The crap that came out of his mouth was hardly genius, in fact, frequently it made no sense or was just the same line he'd spewed countless times before.
I really miss Don Rickles, Richard Pryor & Robin Williams. Especially Don Rickles, he was hilarious, so sharp. Today's comedians can't compete with them.
John Candy, Rodney Dangerfield and Sam Kinison too. Dangerfield was totally on the opposite end of the comedic delivery spectrum than Rickles and was just as funny whereas Kinison was on the same side as Rickles and Candy was somewhere in the middle as was Pryor and Williams was on the Dangerfield side. All of them were great. RIP gentlemen and thanks for the laughs.
Kinison was a train-wreck. Candy wasn't very funny. Dangerfield was shtick and it could be highly amusing based on the recognition of that fact, by itself. And he did have some good one-liners in there.
