Great episode. Jeremiah has quickly become one of my favorite podcasters in the football realm. Oline committee ftw

Only because I am likely the biggest Michigan fan @ this site, saw every snap JJMC played for 3 years, I saw all these intangibles plus more. He was always the perfect pick for our system and will prove to be in 5 years the best QB taken of this class

Yeah you saw him hand the ball off a lot and had 4 pro lineman in front of him with great running. Yet to be determined by the vikings yet. Michigan had better lineman than the Vikings do now except for Derrisaw.

@@jamierask8527 yes he did but when asked to make plays with his arm he was more than capable to do so as well as with his legs scrambling to keep drives going. But his overwhelming best trait was intangible leadership always putting team first. He is a winner

@@jamierask8527 Wrong. Handing the ball off has nothing to do with what you do in the NFL. Michigan's run game was good but not great. Same with the O - Line. Run game only averaged 169 per game which was 84th nationally. Of Corum's 26 TDs 20 were from inside the five, and 1 was from the six. J.J. got them in the red zone all year. Corum only had four 100-yard games and Edwards one in 15 games. Meanwhile on 3rd and long J.J. was 36 of 49 for 544 yards (74%), 6 TDs, 0 INTs, and averaged 15 yards per completion! Since the beginning of time all Michigan QB's hand the ball off a lot. Tom Brady and Jim Harbaugh handed off more. J.J. McCarthy had more pass attempts and better stats than both. His Intangibles will translate quite well in the NFL. J.J. got that it factor.

They get paid, then 1-2 years later they cry for more.

is this the opposite of de ja vu? I'm sure there was an episode of TMLG in which you and Jeremiah were agreeing that we need to not rely so heavily on the run game , circa 2020ish maybe 21

I am not on the McCarthy bandwagon after a 1/2 preseason game nott even against the starters and the lowly raiders. I've seen QBs play an entire season and end up crapping out after that. What if Darnold takes them to the SB? Are they letting Darnold walk and putting all their eggs on McCarthy? If McCarthy bombs, someone WILL be losing their job or jobs. I need to see more from McCarthy before my job is on the line. I'd resign Darnold, and if McCarthy worked out great, trade Darnold. QBs are always in high demand. That's the way I'd handle it if Darnold has a super year. I am not letting a proven QB walk for an unproven, basically rookie next year. 3:32
