I came upon your channel from watching Jack Morgan's channel. I relate to your videos. I will be 65 in a few weeks and retired from the State of Tennessee after 30 years when I was 62. I was fired from that job when I was 49 due to fake charges, took the bastards to court, whooped some ass and got my job back and got a year and a half of back pay and other monies. I know what it is like to lose a career out of the blue. But one interesting thing that surprised me is how employers, at least in my area, value older workers. I talked to a few personnel managers are they said that us old chaps don't bring much drama into the work place, show up on time, and most importantly, don't smoke weed.
Yes, please ! I would love to see a video about the West Edmonton Mall . Also, I would love to see more of Alberta. Maybe a trip to Calgary stampede ? Or Jasper Park? And congrats on 6K subscribers! You deserve all your success . Great channel
We second that notion! Would like to see more content related to the local folks, and their daily lives/works/leisure in Edmonton, and surrounding areas (St Albert, even Red Deer)
The reason your subscriber numbers are increasing is not just because of your content, it's mainly your warm personality and empathy for others. Your positivity is what will continue to attract viewers.
This is how youtube was back in the beginning: a personal conversation through a camera to the viewers, raw, unfiltered, and genuine. Good luck to you, Martin!
You are a hero. I am in My third week of forced retirement at age 75.mandatory at 65 in my industry. You deserve the success as I Look like an unemployed 18 year old. Canada. Where I lived from 78-82-Scarborough Ontario seems more understanding to laid off seniors. Love your enthusiasm. Keep up the good work. Sure!!
I watch because... I'm almost 63, retired, worked in factories all my life. I've been canned/booted/cut by 3 out of 4 employers in my life. Twice because of plant closures (foreign labor) and once for a plant closure because of bankruptcy. I watch your videos because I empathize with your situation. I'm interested in seeing how fellow ordinary people live their lives and deal with the challenges they encounter. Please continue to post honest videos based on your real-life circumstances, rather than polish them up. BUT, no matter what, it's YOUR channel, so post whatever you desire. 😊
Great Video again Martin, One of the things i like theres no loud Music, so its easy to concentrate on what you are saying. I have never been to Edmonton, Not the Alberta one, Ive been to the London one lol, would love to see that. you will soon have 7000 subs. keep up the good work, take care buddy.
If viewers continue to SHARE your videos on their Facebook pages...no reason why your channel can't continue to grow by leaps and bounds. Good Luck and Keep on Truckin'
Martin, I support you in your endeavors. You are a star because you are authentic, caring, and down-to-earth. You have done videos with advice helping others. I wish there was a way to help your channel grow besides just subscribing. Is there a way I can do this?
Your doing great. I watch from the Philippines, I’m from the U.S. living in the Philippines. I grew up in Wayne county Michigan we would go to Windsor once a week to grocery shop. Things you couldn’t get in Michigan when I was growing up was catchup or vinegar chips, poutine and Tuborg gold beer besides others. I would also get boots from Canada. We would go across on the fourth of July and watch the fireworks and laser show from the Windsor side of the river. Got a chance to watch Rush in a small bar in Windsor, they showed up unannounced. Of course Rush is from Willowdale Ontario.
@@inteland2734 Oh wow. That’s awesome. Thank you so much for watching. It must be so nice living in the Philippines. I’d love to live full time in SE Asia. ❤️🙏😃
On You Tube, please check out the Americans and Canadians who have retired in Ecuador, the Philippines or Thailand (there are many other cheap countries). They commonly say that their lives are so much easier with the weight of the financial burdens and worrying being lifted off of them.
I watched your video but without thinking hit the skip ad button - I try not to do that with your videos so you can get more revenue. So now I am running the video in silent on my phone and watching another TH-cam video from you on my iPad and will make sure I do not hit the skip ad button 😅 please remind your viewers to let une ads run when you say like and subscribe.
Enjoy your content, although my situation is actually the polar opposite as yours! You’re in your early 60’s looking for a new job, while I’m in my early 60’s wishing my employer would give me a buyout offer to send me off into retirement a year or two earlier than planned……..😂 I’m looking forward to the day when I can just putz around town during the afternoon instead of constantly grinding away on the corporate treadmill……..🥳
Did you get your PIN number verification issue sorted yet? Would be good to see regular updates on your income streams. You know CPP, dividend income, TH-cam income, Uber Eats and Courier income. You know all of the income streams going into the funnel
No I still haven’t received that envelope from AdSense with my PIN so I won’t get paid any TH-cam monies until I get it. But that’s okay. Hopefully it’ll come soon enough. In the meantime it will keep accumulating.
Sometimes YT-ers find channels they like and can get that channel to recommend them and vice versa. That seems to really increase the subscribers. You'll definitely make it to 10K. I think 15K by the end of the year! Just don't promote products - that is sooooo boring and I end up clicking off.
Hi. Hope you don't ever count on TH-cam for a steady income. It is normal to see small unknown creators get excited about money but, and this is in no way to discourage you, it typically peaks at a nominal number and new revenue becomes harder to sustain, often trailing off to nothing. Maybe you will be an exception because there are some who are. I also think that having a channel really has benefits for you the creator, in many different ways. Nothing wrong with enjoying the process as you get better and more efficient at it. Would you keep doing it for free? That may help you get a handle on what TH-cam is for you. I think it's an excellent creative outlet for you and many others and encourage you to challenge yourself and keep going. I understand your hustle with driving jobs. Question and it's none of my business, do you or will you keep looking for full time work that would pay better, maybe get you out of your car? I understand and respect the hustle but just wandered if you've sort of given up on other work possibilities after seeing how bleak things are at the moment? Maybe you are happy with the driving gigs and can just continue this until retirement? Just wondered.
Of course I would keep posting for free. I was posting for free before any of my videos got noticed. I’m also posting for myself and family to look back when I’m gone.
You have a very likable personality, you’re absolutely a TH-cam star in the making sir.
Awww I appreciate your kind words and encouragement ❤️🙏😃
There is nobody on TH-cam that deserves this success more than you do! Such a decent and humble person ... enjoy the journey!
Thank you so much my friend ❤️😃🙏

I'm a new subscriber. You struck a chord here. I'm also Canadian, and we're a similar age. You seem like a good guy.
Don't change, keep givin 'er😄

I appreciate you support and encouragement so much :) Thank you
Keep it up! I’m 64 and in a similar situation- my small business has been killed by US government policies since Covid. Terrible.
