I as going to say that the trail compliment melt down was obviously the biggest moment of the year, but then I remembered that Anna filmed herself using the winch for the anchor to climb back onto the Yacht during one of her back to back holidays and I giggled so I think that was my favourite

@jenn8459 about that - I feel like her ego was appeased when he said "I follow you," which is the reason she accepted the encouragement the first time, but she got angry about the woman who said "Good job getting out here" in part because she didn't mention knowing her as a celebrity. Also, didn't Anna say after that one that she didn't want to hear from anyone who wasn't a follower?

34:02 as somebody who has temperature-induced asthma (both hot and cold), I can confirm that she *most likely* used it correctly. I add the caveat bc it is best to use it 10-15 minutes before physical activity for it to run thru your system, and to hold your breath with the medicine in your lungs as long as you can so you absorb it all, like how you use up the oxygen when you hold your breath before needing to breathe again. She only shows like 2 seconds of using it, so who knows if she did those things.

It really bothers me that she does this performative athlete thing. I’m quite thin but I’m not strong & have chronic health issues. Why is she so ashamed to admit she’s currently in a “functional fitness” phase? I’m in my 50s but I go to senior classes b/c that’s my level. We talk about range of motion & activities like walking and swimming. Most ibrse people have to work really hard at this functional level until they have the range of motion & strength to begin the long road to “athlete.” You can’t just decide you’re an athlete & then become an instant runner. Also running isn’t a great functional exercise, unless you’re getting chased a lot irl. I just don’t understand why she ignores functional fitness completely & acts like she has to pretend to be a jock.

@@standdownrobots_ihaveoldgloryshe wants the appearance of being an athlete bc it’s cool, admirable, and aspirational, but she will do none of the work. She’s narcissistic, entitled and lazy. I’ve been working my ass off in the gym for years and am finally at a point where I feel comfortable telling people I do bodybuilding. Creating an athletic, fit physique is not easy for most people. It takes WORK, discipline, being coachable and a lot of humility. All attributes Anna doesn’t have for more than 15mins at a time. Keep at it! You’re taking care of your body in a sustainable manner that is honoring where you are. Anna is a reminder of everything we don’t want to be, it’s really quite fascinating.

I would love to see you do a break down on her vacation storylines. They are so drastically different than what has been happening with her recently. The travel stuff were meant to be high production, aspirational while also mixing in over coming the odds/proving the “biggums” can do all the things too yada yada (obviously some of them were more successful at doing this than others) but then we run straight into the lipadema journey and suddenly everything is so impossibly hard. How does half the year she goes on 5 vacations and does so many things and then the second half she spends on threads while bed rotting because she had some liposuction.

As someone who is probably about at Anna’s fitness level, I completely agree - it is simply not possible. I’m underweight but we’re both very un-fit, and I have participated in a few fun run fundraisers (terrible fundraiser btw, most end up breaking even, only really big ones deliver good ROI)…I and the other participants like me can get a decent pace going- for a very short time- but we are not even close to that for most of the run. My friends who run seriously & maintain a steady pace, even those who are at the overweight/obese tipping point, spend hours in the gym and on the pavement every week, even to be “meh” competitively & not lose weight - it’s a major commitment in one’s lifestyle tbh. Running isn’t really a great choice for functional fitness anyway, some people seem to really crave it emotionally (I did train properly once for a 5k, I kind of get it), but no fitness professional recommends it for the un-fit. This isn’t 1983. I don’t need knee surgery, PT, etc so I stopped even trying to trail run, which is the most fun type of running imo, since I’m 54 & why mess up the one joint system in my body that works fine?? 😂 now i walk and forage…maybe getting a bike next summer…no running *.*

The whole thing is really odd, I agree. I think she claims to know the illness she's having a flare up of, and that's either lymphedema or Hashimoto's, I *think.* What she doesn't know the cause of is what factor made that illness flare up, I think. So, the symptom is gaining 30-40 lbs water weight in 1-2 days. I still think it's so weird how vague she is, and I think it has to do w/: claiming an illness makes her followers seem like jerks to blame her for her weight or for anything, she hopes.

It's very odd. I've had Hashimoto's for 20 years. I've never had a "flare up," and my endocrinologist has never spoken of them, either. Hashimoto's doesn't cause the major weight gain most would like to believe.

    • @brittanymarciniak5078
      @brittanymarciniak5078 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@ElderMillenial-x7b That's awesome you haven't had a flare up. I have lupus, and I have around two of them a month. For me, it feels like the flu-- lots of nausea, vomiting, throbbing pain, and fatigue. Sometimes, I don't know the cause. However, I believe much of it is due to high stress, lack of sleep and (embarrassing to admit) forgetting to eat. There is an association with lupus and weight gain due to steroid use. My endocrinologist has never prescribed a steroid and I am pretty small to begin with, so thankfully, I do not worry about stress on my joints. However, I cannot blame anyone or anything for my flare ups other than myself because I am in control of these things. Anna's life habits are terrible, especially her food choices. It drives me crazy when she says she's done everything she can because she is showing us the evidence that this is blatantly false.
I don't know much of Hashimoto's. I thought there was a connection between the disease and hypothyroidism, which could then result in weight gain? Of course, people respond differently. My father has hypothyroidism and is extremely thin. I also know someone with Hashimoto's and she is tiny. Anyway, I hope you are doing well!

If you play a sport and you know your asthma is going to act up during practice, you should use it before practice and not wait until you are struggling to breathe. Hi! I have sports induced asthma, and I was always instructed that it was best to use your inhaler before exercise. That way you don’t end up having an attack in the middle of the workout. I personally find I get a lot less winded if I time my inhaler before working out. It also depends on the workout for me and if it’s outside vs inside etc. For example, I can swim laps pretty easily without my inhaler because the pool is so humid. But doing any intense running without a significant rest break will get me winded and potentially trigger and attack. Sometimes I can get it under control before it gets too severe, it kinda just depends haha

I have lupus and Sjogren's. There is an association between lupus and multiple other problems in the body. All the things Anna mentioned, and with which she was annoyed about, exacerbate symptoms, e.g., stress, poor sleep and eating inflammatory foods. It's fact-based science. When people make suggestions to me, I know they are trying to help. Sometimes, they bring up points I may not have thought about or I am so busy with life stuff that I diminish the importance of self care. I sometimes need reminders to slow down and take care of myself. Most of the time, people are coming from a place of empathy and concern and I appreciate that. Anna gravitates toward quick fixes and external modifications to counter her bad habits and becomes angry and defensive when people point this out. She needs to reframe how she processes information. I do not have the patience for her theatrics when I see her consume gross amounts of sugar, especially.

I brought it before, but it may have gotten lost in the comments. I’m just wondering why both she and Amber Lynn seems so incredibly immature for their age and I’m wondering that maybe the food addiction is like alcohol or drug addiction where you stop maturing when you are deep in your addiction? I’ve never heard anybody talk about this, but both of them have taste like 14-year-olds And talk about themselves like they’re 14 as well. There’s no such thing as a 36 year-old protein girly and a 42 year-old girly pop. And both of them are so unsophisticated in their taste and so immature squealing over no kitty cat pictures and wearing giant version of toddler clothes. I’m wondering what the source of the lack of maturity is whether they had shitty childhood or whether they stopped developing because they became addicted

    17:34 "... and then eats 1/4th of a quiche as a serving."
To be fair: when I make something like a quiche, we generally also end up eating about 1/4th each. But it always depends on how large and how thick the quiche is. And what exactly is in there. I've recently made a pumpkin quiche where the filling was not just eggs and cheese but included also about 2 lbs of pumpkin.
What I find weird with Anna's recipes is that they were always (at least for the quiche, the "lasagna" and the potato gratin thingy) for 8 servings. Who wants a recipe for *8 servings*? I am very used to looking up recipes and I don't remember ever seeing one for 8 servings. 4 is very common, but 8? And she did make 2 quiches in that recipe.
I did the calorie and makro count on the three recipes mentioned above and my guess is that it is a trick to keep the calories per serving between 400 and 600.

Also, I'd say that those recipes she is showing are not the best for meal prepping IMO. At least if you want to reheat in a microwave. It's not easy to get a slice of quiche evenly reheated in the microwave. That works a lot better with food that you can stir.

Only trouble with such a wide-ranging review is I have so many thoughts!
About the inhaler: in the decades I've had asthma, medicine regimes, inhalers and techniques have changed quite a bit. I must have been through about ten different protocols before my current one - and I still don't recognise the black inhaler! (Might be a US colour difference, though.)
I definitely take a preventative dose before going out for a run; mine is set off by either cold or exercise or both...

Your right weight loss isn’t hard since Jan 7- now I’ve dropped 35kg (77lbs), 84-49kg, by calorie counting. A kg of fat is 7700kcal, so you burn 1100kcal more than you eat that’s a kg down. Honestly people like Anna need to focus on food and portion control before doing these exercise workouts as she’s not burning enough to justify eating the amount she eats plus her joints must be screaming when she’s running. Weight loss is 95% food 5% exercise. She clearly has money so she can hire a dietitian to teach her about portion control and focus on food quality. Her kitchen always looks like something out of a magazine doesn’t look used which shows most of her diet consists of take away food.

Like 2 hours step classes, aerobics and weights. I didn't lose a pound! It wasn't until i cracked down and went on a diet that the weight vanished. When it happened I thought " Wow all those years wasted trying so hard in the wrong area"
Now i just watch what i eat and do yoga here and there and have never been thinner.

So that wouldn’t be triggering for me. For me personally, I have boat trauma. I’m not going to react to heart attacks or Costco’s, but make a joke that is similar to the trauma I experienced on the boat, and I’m going to be triggered. She needs to get a grip.
