I was absolutely heartbroken at the thought of not being able to see your videos Jack. We need to have some normal as we all deal with the current changes to our everyday lives. Thank you!!
I just love you all so much! I found your channel (s) a couple years ago and I have always been a home cook. I have worked full time plus any extra my whole life but I have always been a home cook and I have cooked 3 meals a day any day I am able to do so! I love to feed my family and now it's just me and my husband and I am shut in due to health issues. I have made many of your recipes, putting my spin on it of course but I never have to do much to yours! They are simply the best! My husband loves when I cook anything I get from you! So I thank you. This year I became officially disabled so I can no longer be a work aholic out side of my home and I have to tell you an extra thank you. During this covid lockdown I had become terribly depressed because I can't get out and I have just binge watched your videos and they have kept me sane. I too also feed anyone who is hungry. My husband used to ask when I would bring home a paycheck and I told him as soon as this country makes it so that no one is hungry. But I pray for you and your loved ones so that you all stay safe and come through this to the best of times in the other side of the pandemic! Keep it up! Your fans appreciate you so much!!

Jack, Ralph here in NC and I just wanted to say you sir are what all Americans across the country look up to and count on in times of uncertainty. People across the globe always enjoy and rely on places like yours to gather, laugh, relax with friends and family, enjoy and share amazing home cooked food and conversation mixed with a lot of love and enjoyment and a tradition that can never be destroyed. This is just another test that a higher power has asked us to endure to only see you soon for breakfast my brother. God bless all of you, be safe and soon this also will pass as all things do. Take care, Ralph

Hope to still see you posting during these times, Jack....you bring a lot of joy to so many of us who follow you.....whenever a vid starts and i hear you say "Daddy Jacks--Cookin Widda Bloooos" it puts a giant smile on my face....stay well my friend
Here in Canada we also have it tough but Jack, thanks for the videos. The inspiration of love, laughter and the love of food that will always warm our hearts, our spirit and a desire to learn n cook from a great man. Thanks
That Pot that you are cooking in reminds me of my late Moms bean soup pot. She acquired it from her mother. When time were tough which was often when I was growing up she would make a pot of bean soup because it was pretty cheap. Growing up in the 1970's i hated that bean soup but would learned to love it in my adult years. That old pot seen us through a lot of tough times. It comforts me to see that another beat up old pot is going to see some people though some hard times again. Keep up the Heart felt cooking that you do.
I’m so happy that you are sharing your marinara sauce recipe! I’ve watched it bubbling away on the back burner in many of your videos and hoped you would make it for us. I’ve tried many recipes for red sauce but have never used tarragon. What a great idea! It kind of has an anise/fennel like taste which goes so well in Italian dishes. That’s going in my next batch! (I can even get Alta Cuccina tomatoes at a local restaurant supply.) I also want to compliment you on your compassion and spirit of giving. We’ve witnessed it over and over again and think you are an amazing person!❣️
Thank You! Try tarragon - it's the best. Stay Well Marijane, people always ask me if I put nutmeg or what's that spice, it's the tarragon that gives it. In my meatballs, sauce and lobster bisque. Stay well and thank You for all your support! Xo, Jack

A little tomato paste is nice after you’re done sweating the veg. I forget but there’s a name for when you let tomato paste scorch a little bit. I swear you have some of the best knife skills. Too cool how you diced the first half of the white onion. I love learning from watching a master!
