I needed smaller companion for my flip 5 so i grabbed clip 4. My friend got go 3 and sound difference is barely noticeable clip 4 is a bit deeper. What i need is long battery life. 5 hours of (estimated) playback time is too short for cycling as realistically it'll be even shorter on max volume.
I first wanted to buy the go. But after seeing that clip is loud and has more bass, I bought it but I never thought about its buil in carabiner. But after purchasing I understood its importance in my life I clip it to my bag, towel hanger, even on the spirals of my notebook. I am happy spending those extra bucks

Seems to me, a very unsophisticated person music-wise, the Go 3 is good enough. The Clip 4’s one big strength is battery life as, other than that, to me it sounds a lot like the Go 3. I’ve got the Go 3 and very happy with it as I’m not listening to shows or talks longer than 2 hours at a time and too long old for rugged outdoor activities.

My pants, my bag, a hanging plant on a porch, a fence, a kitchen cabinet handle. It’s almost worth it for that alone. This will be my go to speaker from here on out. I definitely think it’s worth the extra money.

@@DPR178 no man I’ve had no issues with this speaker the past 3 months now. The hinge is really responsive and has no play in it. and If you start trying to get the clip around something that it could get stuck in you would know. It would be really difficult to get the clip around it. I’ve done it a couple times but it’s kinda dummy-proof.
I find it best to close your eyes, whenever you feel like a part of the music is better, open eyes and see which speaker is on. Write down scores or whatever you like ha :)
I think that's the key differentiator. The standing on its own part. My girlfriend has the clip 4 and I have the Go 3. My go 3 has the edge that we can simply put it on a surface. Sounds like it's not a big deal, but when you area dealing with a speaker this size, that level of convenience matters. In order to add the "clip" aspect of function, I simply added a small hero clip and done.
Clip 4 is somehow better than Go 3, I think it’s because of the strong output power and bigger unit, but Go 3 is designed as extreme portable but stationary , clip 4 is also portable but for ppl on the move with a clip I would go for clip 4 if your budget doesn’t allow to pick Flip 5 For ppl looking for ultimate portable speaker, maybe just wait for Charge 5
I think JBL GO3 should be compared to Tribit StormBox Micro-- their prices are close. In this comparison, I feel like if you have extra money go for Clip 4, if you wanna save money, go for Go3. Both of ‘em are really great.

The bass is better on the clip even on its back shooting sound upward but the highs aren’t are crisp but you’d gotta be a sensitive audiophile to care. Each one is good. These are more than enough for a group of people. But the battery life is why I went clip. One mention is price obviously gonna hit about 85 after taxes with the clip and for 20 dollars less you get the Go3. If money isn’t much of an issue the I suggest looking into the Bose Soundlink micro because that little sucker sounds as good as the higher tier JBLs at almost half the price of them. They’re like 130.
Just checked. You can cop the Go 3 for $30. Which makes it less than half the price of the Clip 4. Which, imo, is an obscene price difference considering what you get. With that said I won’t b getting either of these speakers because I have the Stormbox Micro. Neither of the JBLs can compete with that speaker. Btw, the biggest thing that irks me about the JBLs, besides being over priced, is that you can pair them to another speaker for TWS.
I am not sure the flip or charge essential speakers are available in the USA. Plus, they are the same as the flip 3 and charge 3, but without jbl connect. I think the flip essential would probably be slightly better than the clip 4 due to the stereo setup, but I think it is only splash proof, not immersible.

Go 3 is the kind of speaker you set on a shelf in the corner of a room. JBL clip 4 is something you set on a table. But do you really want to pay 40 dollars more for that?

My point of view is: Buy the Go 3, unless you need extra battery life, the clip, and the sound to face upwards. The clip 4 is also less pocketable and too expensive for what it is so *go* with the go 3.

I don't understand why anybody would buy Go 2 or 3... And if you compare Clip series with other competitors in this size it becomes clear that Clip is the same overprized crap. It only sounds good against the Go but it is wasted money.

If one of these should not exist anymore I would say the go should go (no pun intended) the clip is more convenient for carrying so you can put it onto a bag or hang it on a bike to take with you it’s got better battery and supposedly better sound the go is an ultra portable model that can stand up and they finally added the option to put it onto a carabiner to hang onto something like the clip but I think that feature is a bit to old too late overall I think both speakers are great but I’d go with the clip
@@rezakhrisnaputra9773 yes the flip 5 comes with a powerful 4000 mah battery and unlike phones we don't use internet in the speaker nor display. So my flip 5 goes for 4 or sometimes a week cause I don't play it the whole time, so it should be good if you go for it. One full charge and you're good to go even for a week too if you're like me playing for some time only with low normal😉

Design wise it’s the complete opposite. The clip 4 just looks old fashion now. The go is going with the more modern JBL looks.
