I have Marshall earphones, 3 portable speakers including Willen, but it's more of a collector's value and esthetic preference. However, Marshall's sound is not designed for heavy bass music, while JBL is perfect for that. One thing I love about Marshall Willen is the sound quality at short distance around the speaker and when in another room or a bit far away you don't hear it much. Perfect for situations where you want some background music around you without the feeling of annoying other people that don't dig your style.
I’ve been using the JLB Go 3 these last months and for the price, the sound is awesome, and the resistance is good too, I think the Go 3 is a better option for outdoor use, is a speaker to carry anywhere and due to the price, you can easily afford to grab another one without problem if something happens. I had a lot of curiosity about the Marshall Willen and just bought it a days ago, definitely the audio quality of the Willen is superior to the Go 3, I just felt the willen haves really good sound separation and feels very premium, also the battery life is superior too. Both speakers are good options depending of what do you need/want. If you want an affordable and very rugged speaker with a tiny form factor, decent sound to take it anywhere without fear of being lost or damaged, the Go 3 is a good option. If you want a better sound experience for using anywhere mostly on your house or office, and love the aesthetics, the willen is the better choice. The Willen have a better sound than the Go 3, yes. But for the price, the Go 3 is an amazing value for most of the people.
Exactly my thoughts. I have both and while the Willen is everything you said, the Go3 is my gets took everywhere, dragged through hell speaker. The Willen, while portable, is more at home on a desk or tossed in luggage for a hotel nightstand, etc. I can fit, although a lil bulky, a Go3 in a shirt pocket and manipulate the buttons. The Willen not so much. Only thing the next Go version needs is some battery indicator dashes/dots. Otherwise I'm very happy with it for it's size. Infact I bought another one.
@@alvinrai5105 yeah, tested both at shop recently, the Marshall blew me away. The treble extension & clarity is much2 better. The bass in Marshall could be better but if it was lying flat, the bass response will improve. The jbl is tuned towards mass consumer and that's not a bad thing at all just that all the other portable Bluetooth speakers out there sounds just like the jbl. I'm not considering myself an audiophile but having few hifi & home theater setups, the Marshall will be my choice.
The JBL GO 3 sounds really close to the Marshall's, with just 1/4th of its price! Marshall just has an upper hand in the Highs/Treble, with the sizzly highs being more pleasing to the ear, rather than the "unsizzly" JBLs. Moreover, Marshall just has a finer tuning, making it sound "better". The JBLs however give a tough competition! This comparison is though, based strictly on the sound signature of the two, and I reckon the Marshalls has more quality of life features like greater Durability, Longer-life and support, Better battery, etc., for the more expensive price of it. In short, If you need good quality portable speakers, for a really fair price, The JBLs are your way to go! However, If you want that tad bit of extra in your sound, that signature pleasing/"premium" Marshall sound, and are able to afford it, go for the Marshalls! But I like the JBLs more! They are truly, the definition of what an affordable - portable Bluetooth speaker should be! So choose wisely, and according to your needs! Thanks for reading my review!
I returned my jbl clip 4 for the Marshall willen. Yes it’s double the price but for the sound quality, battery life, and app support with the ability to control the EQ the Marshall is a great speaker. And I actually tried the Bose mini. But clearly the willen is better. JUST LOOK AT IT!
Maybe it also matters what type of music you would usually play with the speakers. If you are a rock/band-y kind of player then marshall maybe a better choice. If you are a hiphop/rnb and bass does matter a lot, then jbl is the go to
Thats totally the case. I have a big marshall speaker. And the bass isn't as heavy as my friends JBL. but the Jbl turns guitar into unnatural sounding bass and its just bad. The guitar sounds super unnatural. And the marshalls do this just fine.

I think Marshal are much better because the sound is softer and it doesn't hurt your ear, which is not the same with JBL according to these clips you showed us
I have owned a few JBL, portable speakers, and although I’ve loved how much base they would naturally come with us as I get older, I’m starting to appreciate more of the highs in songs, so that I can hear the words… And I love listening to podcasts! Also, if you have too much base with some of these JBL speakers in a one bedroom apartment, that bass can still be heard if you are close to sharing a wall with someone so you have to be careful with some of the JBL’s with a lot of power in the bass. I also own a Kilburn original that specifically purchased for my turntable to play records ….and it’s amazing but it’s way too big and heavy for portable every day use… and now I’m looking at a smaller speaker that I can carry between my bathroom / kitchen / desktop when I want to continue the music or listening to podcasts .

I've got a ton of Bluetooth speakers. I put them side by side and let my wife hear them one at a time. She said: oh yeah, that Marshall definitely sounds the best. The Marshall speakers are tuned so that they don't fatigue your ear with screeching mids. A lot of these other speakers are just boosting mids and bass to give you the appearance of good sound. In reality, it's not a very good clear sound. On top of that, I play my Bluetooth speaker to listen to satellite radio during the day. The battery life on Marshalls is killer. BETTER BASS DOESNT MEAN ITS GOOD...JBL SOUNDS SO DISTORTED AND LACKS CLARITY...YOU CAN EASILY INCREASE BASS IN ANY SPEAKER USING EQUALIZER SO GO FOR QUALITY
Still, two shitty speakers. As a Sound Technician, I personally prefer the JBL, it has a more "true" sound, Marshall has gone a bit too far with the DSP, I understand the ideia, and thats why most people prefer the marshall, but keep in mind, more lows and more highs its not better or worst sound quality. At professional sound, you can use for example the Funktion One (those black and white giant speakers that you probably have seen at some dj event) and a normal PA system. F.O. only "sounds good" with eletronic music, by sounding good I mean, it rumbles and the highs almoust perfurate our ears, sounds better when drunk, and a normal PA system, like ones you see on festivals and big stages are more flat, you can play whatever you want thru it and most of the times it sounds good, and its not trying to kill you.
Thanks you for making this video. It proven this Jbl must be avoided at all cost & simply pick a China speaker sound way better than this Jbl. Marshall worth for the sound.

Yes
Marshall sounds like it has a V shaped EQ l, that's why it sounds hollow in the midrange The JBL has a more flat EQ letting the midrange blend in with the bass and treble.
Hindi ko pa nasubukan yung marshall pagdating sa palakasan ng sound woofer.. Pero yung JBL subok ko na mahusay Ang JBL wala kang masasabi.
JBL has offerred something you can't afford at this price range n even beating Marshall in race, there wpuld be a minor difference if JBL loses
Im playing this video with my JBL Go3. 🍿🍿🍿
BETTER BASS DOESNT MEAN ITS GOOD...JBL SOUNDS SO DISTORTED AND LACKS CLARITY...YOU CAN EASILY INCREASE BASS IN ANY SPEAKER USING EQUALIZER SO GO FOR QUALITY
The JBL sounds muffled in comparison.
I'll go for marshall sounds clear and better
I can barely notice the difference in the latter songs
Compare a JBL of the same price and it muders the marshall brutally
I have go 3 and marshall and they’re both great
Damn this marshall speaker but the price though. So I just choice JBL go 3. But if you have the money go for the marshall...
Please make a video on real vs fake on marshall willen
What a soothing sound from Marshall 🤐
Marshall crystal clear & JBL muffled lil bit compare to willen
There is no reason for comparison because of the price 😂 JBL comes 6000 NR and marshall RS15500 😂
Thanks you for making this video. It proven this Jbl must be avoided at all cost & simply pick a China speaker sound way better than this Jbl.
Marshall worth for the sound.
I'd go with the JBL but that's just my opinion. I have the go 3 and it sounds better (to me) than in the video
Compare it to the clip 4 by JBL I love that speaker over the Willen nice video
What r u doing bro...! Chance by chance do it...!
