@@KeepCookingwithPriya i checked....mostly cupcakes...no muffins. Also a small suggestion..always mention ingredients with quantity in the description....helps while cooking/baking
Cakes made with dairy ingredients should be stored in the refrigerator after a day depending on the climate. Here no caramel is used as rum is the key ingredient that imparts both colour and intense flavour and it being a preservative on its own doesn’t shorten the shelf life. When properly packed it lasts for 3-4 days in refrigerator n upto 2 weeks in freezer; though this is just a theoretical answer; the cake is too yumm to be stored; gets polished off in a day or two😊

I have another doubt. Once the dry fruits & rum r separated. Many times even after brushing the strained rum on the cake, there is leftover rum. Can this leftover rum b used to soak another batch of dry fruits along with the fresh rum of course!! TIA 😊

@@linimathew426 preheating is jz for 10mins. at same temperature..to be extra cautious you may check once after an hour and then bake further until done
Normally, xmas cake lasts a long time(without refrigeration). But since this one contains curd and milk, will it last for a month without refrigeration?
This cake has a comparitively shorter shelf life but stays well in refrigerator when properly cling wrapped and stored in an airtight container(15-20days) but no longer than 2 days in room temperature. Trust me, it won't last that long; too yum to stay away from 😋

No u dont need to add rum more dat by day. The dryfruits soak the rum and swell up and thats whats needed.

Eggs in general are a great substitute to curd but as my channel is only on vegetarian recipes so can’t really comment on the same.

I have used fine granulated brown sugar

Hvnt measured the final weight but must be approx 800gms

In this recipe the proportions mentioned are perfectly tried and tested so the leftover rum (if any) needs to be mixed in the batter only.

Bake in a pregheated oven. Baking temperature 160 degrees for 1.25hours.

Why is the non alcoholic plum cake batter more flowy/runny than this batter? Also quantity of Coco powder is less in this recipe?
That depends totally on ratio of dry n wet ingredients and varies from recipe to recipe.

Rum imparts colour n intense flavour so less of cocoa.
