thank you Samoth. Since the late Yuri Fedin passed away, you have really taken the torch to further the no spin knife technique to a new height. I have watched all of Yuri Fedin's youtube videos, but was unable to understand because I don't speak Russian. But since you do speak English, you make it a lot easier for us English speakers to understand and develop the technique. So I'd like to say thank you very much for that, and continue the good teaching.
Clear, concise instructions. Being new to the art form, I'm fortunate to have come across your tutorials first. Thank you Samoth Chipmah, you're a great instructor.
love to see the Slo Mo on those because it was bothering me that I was getting longitudinal rotation. But seeing that you also get that I will stop worrying about it.
Thank you for your time in your tutorials, your the best. Can you give any tips . Using you and adam videos gave me that keeping drilling. I need more power in my no spin
Thank you for explaining that samoth now i understand and see why your knives must be a certain size to do your style of throwing I live in Stockton Ca USA which knife makers can i contact to buy your knives
+Safir Yuseth thank you. i got a few more tutorials on my channel. if you have facebook then join the "instinctive knife thrower group". i am tomtom there and there the knife makers.
Thanks. There is not much i could explain. I never worked on it. It just worked by itself. I use the index on spine like always and twist my wrist that the position is correct. Then i do the snap motion.
Hoi Tom, I ve saw this tutorial several times and It opens a whole new way of handeling the knife. I have a question . I throw holding it by the point, just like the so called militairy way. Only I do the antispin indexvinger. That makes a lot of diverance. I have tried to see when and how the knife flies . Is it on the last moment? Ive red that you was practising a half spin. Perhaps you know more about the behavior of the knife. When I for the first time hears your explanation about what it wants to do was my eyeopener. Funny that you said that you do not know how it works but it did. The best . I've saw knifes of your desing. I have a spring from a car , 8mm . Now search for somewhere with a plasmacuttxer. Bye Tom , Reinhardt. Netherlands
🙏 Thank you Dom Tom from brother METZGAR here from Canada. I sent you a comment about 2 months back under cuedust account and you ask for video and i finally made a channel to show you. Many Thanks 🙏❤🗡️🎯
you can throw anything no spin but for the fast technics with small motion which yuri fedin did its important to have not long and heavy knives. best is around 25cm length and 200-250g weight. for no spin its also MUCH easier to use handle heavy knives. a lot of rotation knives i see at people are not good for these technics. you can make by your own or i can name you some knife makers which make special knives. there are no real good factory knives available.
USA patrick brewster (flying steel) Canada Jeremy beintema (bullseye blades) Czech Adam Celadin (sharp blades) ask for the new regular arrow. they all make the same version only the look is different. you can write them on facebook.
I would like to ask you about the grip. Where exactly do you place your middle, ring and pinky fingers?Do you wrap them around the knife? Or do you rest them at the side of the knife? Do those 3 fingers play any part in the knife leaving the hand? Again, thank you for your knowledge. I'm an absolute beginner and I've had some sticks with the no spin but I think it's more luck than skill when I throw. I feel like the 3 fingers I referred to are kind of getting in my way causing the knife to not fly straight. When I move the 3 fingers to more of the side of the knife, I also kind of lose control.
Thumb at the side, indextip on spine, other fingers wrapped around lika a pocket where the knife slips out without opening the fingers. Check my long tutorial, there are timemarks in the discription. Then you find the part about the grip. Join instinctive knife throwers on facebook. there is a lot to learn and you can post videos and ask for help
@@samothchipmah2407 Ok. Thank you so much. I actually went for a throwing session today and like you said I was keeping my hand closed and firm while pulling down and I started to get consistent sticks. I was so excited because the other day I had no sticks for about a half hour. Today I changed my grip a little bit and let it shoot out of my hand while keeping it closed and Its like I discovered gold because I kept getting sticks and it was the greatest feeling to be able to finally start getting the hang of this technique. Thank you for your guidance. You are a master at this art.
I got one question for you sir Tom..At the beginning in learning on your technic , I was able to do stick with no spin pretty good after practicing in about a few week..But now, I always got under turn throw and it make me very frustrating trying to fix it. It all start when I try to put more power in the throw, but meanwhile trying to keep the technic as correct as possible and also trying to keep low input high output concept like your explanation in the other video. So my question is what is the common mistake that make under turn in no spin throw? Regard, Kim.
Thank you. That is very hard to answer without seeing it, but it is a good sign that you can underspin it. You can send me a video on facebook. Perhaps i can tell you something what could help.
@@samothchipmah2407 I am sorry but I don't have Facebook sir. But I will share video through TH-cam if can, and when I have some time to record them I will share it to you. And to get some idea, is it too late release or too early release" related to my under turn problem? Or perhaps my index finger springs technic is wrong or over do?, curious about the possibility tho. I know that like you mentioned early that under turn throw is a good sign that individual can throw in bigger distance , but no matter how far I go back from the target (max 7meter at the moment) mostly still under turn?.. Anyway sir, thank you very much for the help , always learning from your video. Thanks...
@@starlittle93 How said, it is hard to tell. All the things you mentioned can be the problem. My knives are very often underturned also. A knife cant fly straight all the time. It always leaves the hand at around 90°, or even much more, depends on the technic. When the throw is good, the knife leans forward and stops spinning, mostly in a slightly underturned position. If it flies straight after forward leaning, it is just luck :)
@@samothchipmah2407 yes ,I think I understand sir 😀. Yesterday I was practicing and slightly solving the problem but not very consistent yet. I'll keep practicing and tweaking the mechanic a bit to hit the perfect technic of throwing, I hope.. Fly straight after forward leaning? For me it was not luck for you Tom, if you can do it accidentally(or lucky) then you can do it by willing eventually👍👍💪..

Yea I don't know why but it was more interested to see doing bad throws instead of good once O.o Its look more useful for training tho :)
