Go farther into the footage. As President Trump is taken away in the armored SUV, you will see another female with a handgun. She stands in back the the SUV, while it leaves, pointing her muzzle at everyone torso height parallel to the ground and at the security detail. Shameful.

I understand how hard it is to keep your heart rate down (we used to train in the ER, 'take your own pulse first'). It's challenging.
But most SS agents won't be called on to do this even once in their careers, so they TRAIN, TRAIN, TRAIN. (Don't they?) You'd never be able to tell that these 2 were ever challenged to keep their cool under fire. That pathetic Director needs to go back to PepsiCo. Or maybe that's why she's not there anymore. She's risen 2 steps above her level of competence. Brave. Stunning.

Even though I've worked in private security, I can see that a woman would NOT be effective in protecting the President. There might be a role in the strategic organization of the security team, but the actual strength should be that of a man. In my professional security career, I have seen that women can often be more effective in certain situations. Many aspects of security is diffusing a situation before it escalates, I think women can often be highly effective. I've worked in hospitals and tech companies, typically our team included men and women.
Btw, while Ms Alba is now in her mid-40's, when she was in this film she was significantly younger. Of course, no one expects any actor to perform the feats they do in films, actors do what they do best, present an image.
