i have followed all of your reborn with me videos, and am now on my 5th baby. i just purchased a nuwave oven today. you have definitely helped me as an artist, and im very thankful for that. you are a life saver!
I agree ! I have used my big oven inside the house . That's only for reborn . But I got sick after I baked 2 dolls . My face had rash and pimples . Hope this one can help . Yes , she is a live saver !
Found you by accident while looking for answers on questions I had. So happy to find you and subscribe as a follower. You are amazing! Clear, concise, easy to listen to (as someone with a hearing loss that is a HUGE compliment!). Pleasant, great speaking voice, presentation, very knowledgeable, great teacher. TY I will be watching ALL of your videos!
OMG I Thank you for the information of how to bake my baby. Your videos are absolutely great. I'm now working on my 5th baby and I love them, but I'm having a hard time with the sales of my reborns. It seems no one wants to trust a newborn artist. Selling a newborn is almost impossible for a new artist anymore. But I appreciate the help that you have given me. You have a blessed day, and happy memorial day
Thank you Kim for taking the time to help all of us. Until I saw this segment I was using my conventional oven. Thank goodness I have only reborn 3 kits so far. Your tutorials are a blessing and you are so patient and explain thing so well, especially for us new reborn mothers. Can't wait to get a NuWave oven. thanks again Kim, Sharon Johnson
Thank you for creating this video ! I had an oven like this but stopped making dolls for 5years. I got rid of the oven. It worked the same way , except it had turn dials for temp and time. I have decided to complete two dolls and see how well they sell, or not. If the market for these dolls is any better than 5years ago. I was making between 500-1000 for each of my dolls, but would often have to wait months (and in some case a whole year) before making one single sale. This was between advertising on both Ebay & facebook. My new doll youtube channel is called Christine'sKeepsake Babies . You will know it is me, by the recently uploaded videos of the last 10 dolls I reborned. My plan is to post videos of dolls from 2007-20015 (the final year when stopped making them) .
Love my new wave oven when I purchased it I received the upgraded model which let u put in the exact temperature so it's easier for me 😊 it's been wonderful so far in my reborning journey!
it is called the Nuwave oven pro plus. you will want to get the 3" extender ring. I couldn't find the pro plus with the translucent extender ring included, they only have the stainless steel rings that come with the oven so i purchased the oven at sears, on sale for $99.99 and then had to purchase the translucent 3" ring extender on the mynuwaveoven website.
do you need to flip the limbs to bake both sides in the nuwave or is just once ok? I used to do porcelain dolls and we have to flip them to bake twice each layer. also is baking the varnish the same power and time or is that different? thanks so very much! I'm just getting started and your videos are amazing! 💜
Omg I can’t believe I was doing it right took time off to start again and I put the heat at 350 no wonder my kits were melting ugh now I’m going to go in tape a note so I don’t forget, I runned to kits lk this, Thankyou great video
thank you for the video. I've been using the nuwave set on 7 for 8 minutes with no problems. I'm going to adjust the setting and see what happens. again thanks for sharing
I love your videos very interesting I plan to reborn for the first time I'm a beginner trying for the first time do you have step by step videos they would be a great help to my keep up your fantastic work
I think your instructional video is going to be a great one to have on hand, but I was wondering if you have this same video somewhere else but with out the music. When I turn the volume down I can’t hear your voice. Thank you!
Thank you so much . I sent the email to B.B to ask how to you it , because they sale this oven . They answered me read the instruction ! If I can understand I wouldn't ask them . The oven wasn't design for reborn doll. They didn't say thing like you said in your clip. Thank again .
Lovely video. I really appreciated it. Found it hard to find a NuWave Oven in Australia with Covid import issues. Bought another brand, so hopefully will work as good. About to give it a try now :)
is it good? Cause I can't seem to get the NuWave Oven too so I'm planning on getting the Halogen Oven which is basically the NuWave Oven but a different brand
@@aglobalpartner i saw a lady recommend if you're using halogen ovens, you should buy an oven thermometer to test it out and see the perfect temperature and also an extender ring
@@forgotrealname9124 yes I got the extender ring. And after I overcooked a baby I used a thermometer to check. It was cooking 30 degrees celcius hotter than setting 🥵😠
@@forgotrealname9124 yes I have done that. One day it was 30 deg celcius over the next time I checked it it was 20 deg celcius under. If I can work it out I will use. I'm going to buy a better thermometer to double check
Thank-you for this video, it is much needed. This seems to be a good oven for baby's with big heads, as they can get shiny in a toaster type oven. Maybe I will get one after all.
Thanks a million for your lovely tutorials.. I just bought a convection robot oven similar to yours..I have not used it yet...I wonder halogen ones are better than convection?
Tonight I baked my toddler for the first time in my robot oven ..it is a HOMEPLUS convection oven, not a halogen..I neuterilised my kit and baked it on130 degrees of Celcius for 8 minutes..In your video you suggest baking it on 121 degrees for 11 minutes..the truth is I am afraid to leave it longer than 8 minutes but I did realise that the oven does not reach the desiring temperature immediately as hallogen does...so I guess I will give it a try to bake it for 11 minutes 121 degrees of Celcius...thank you so much again...you always offer us the best of knowledge for reborning..hugs ELENI
It does not matter. I have two ovens, one with the metal ring and one with the plastic ring. They are interchangeable and function the same way. Just make sure that your doll kit doesn't bump into either during the curing process. :)

Hi Kim I have already started rooting my reborn and noticed it still looks to shiny have you ever tried putting a head back in the oven with Matt varnish around the areas that haven't been rooted and do you have any idea if this would work ,thanks so much for all your help
I try to avoid baking a rooted head, but it certainly can be done. Some artists cover the hair with a damp washcloth to help protect it (though too much dampness may interfere with the curing process.) When you flat iron your hair, you're putting anywhere from 200 - 400 degrees of heat on it. So hair can "tolerate" the curing temperature for a few cycles. A good heat protectant product will help keep hair from drying out too much. I like Its A 10 Miracle Leave-In plus Keratin, but other products work as well. Good luck!

Do I have to use a nuwave oven or is it optional for reborn. Do I have to use any type of heat at all for genesis heat paint?
Does this oven work for a standing toddler ? Or chunky baby say a Saskia kit ?
you can purchase extra extender rings for the oven so the toddlers will fit. they have them on ebay.

So if I was using an E wave oven, how long would I leave it in?
8 - 11 minutes at 250 for a paint layer
