      1. research your own training drills and do your own routine to the best of what you can use and how much time you have.
      2. be disciplined and prioritize it
      3. listen to your body and track progress
you will see results. using a calendar and notes isn't needed, some people just like to be more organized

Maybe focus on getting further forwards more often, targeting a certain number of crosses and attempts at goal per game rather than end of season assists/goals. If you do this consistently enough then you will meet your season goals. Also, are you doing position specific training with the team/coach? Cutting inside and either crossing or shooting, going outside making a yard and getting a quality delivery into the danger area, combo play with strikers/midfielders, getting on the end of counter attacks etc.

I live in Corvallis which is and hour and a half away from Portland but I play in Portland a lot and for one of my Oregon Olympic Development Program scrimmages we played at that field. Just for the guys who said it’s a perfect field, I would say it’s pretty good, depending on what you’re used to. He’s also practicing at a high school so that helps. Btw the reason I recognize the field is because I always park next to it on my weekend trainings at the Timbers Stadium, which is close by (you can see it in the background of the vid)

I live in the village and we have a football club, but we don't have a football league just sometimes friendly matches. My parents don't have time to drive me to some other club, so I thought after high school I'd go to a try-outs in some better club and of course, until then, train as much as I can.

Staying committed to game is the hardest thing to do, when you don’t feel like it how do you maintain your mindset to keep going because that’s the most powerful? What drives you when you’re tired mentally and physically?

That’s what I think people now a days tend to forget. It’s better to train for 1 hour hard and game like then to train for 6 hours nonchalant. There’s no benefit from a training with no purpose.

Hey Matt I know this is an older video but it would be awesome if I could get a response. I’m currently 22 and I’m from Australia. Ive undergone two sets of surgery’s for sports hernias (unfortunately had nerve complications from my first). Considering your age now it’s good to hear your mainly symptom free and sticking to routine maintenance. Can I just ask what made you go back to having repeat surgery’s and what was your groin strength like post op. My left groin is completely symptom free but I struggle with my right groin (dominant leg) and can’t train or perform at the elite level that I use to. I’m considering going back to the surgeon to have another release Into my right groin but I’m concerned about my long term groin health. Love the content man!

Lucius Hunt After that 1-2 passing once you get into attacking areas and have a chance to score is when you can potentially use a couple of skill moves but soccer is based off of possession. But Futsal would be great for ball control
