Do you know what's going on with them lately? The reddit sub is getting blown up with complaints about service, delivery delays, lack of communication, etc..
They have been fine with everything I know, Lucas does like a q&a on insta every week and I know they recently moved into a bigger building so my gun took like 3 weeks longer than usual
@d8ed78 I can tell you they did just rebuild/redesign their building, UPS is less than 1/4 mile down the road, their employee parking lot is just as packed as ours and they come in early and leave late as I do. Internally, not a clue. I have to say, the guy that worked in my lab that works there now, is one the best trouble-shooters I have ever met. And I'm retired USAF, Nukes.
I want one of these so bad! Especially being ambi and the price is honestly reasonable for what you get. Im jealous. Probably my next buy. Great video man keep at it.
Yeah for real this gun I never needed to monkey with or adjust or anything and yeah the receiver is a lot lighter than the blackout with better controls
The MK2 is a fantastic ambi lower, built my 12.5 with it. Love the Griffin hand stop/panels, but they were unavailable everywhere I looked unfortunately.
i built a 20 inch LaRue full stealth build, put a PSR7 on it, and then building aGriffin Mk2- i will only use the Snatch2 charging handles!! i replaced my radians!!! Snatch 2 is best. right now i am waiting for part for my upper to the mk2 and gonna go with a gp5.. as a retired Marine infantry.. my LaRue and Griffin are my go to..hands down..wicked awesome. Griffin has the best customer servicve.. glad i am not the only one!!
Great review, Randy! I've been debating whether to snag one and have been doing as much research as I can. All of the reviews seem to point towards a durable/reliable firearm!
I would take one over a bcm or Daniel defense for real. I am a huge fan of this, I would even take the mk1 over those guns too. This is just so well gassed and is a really smooth shooter.
The bolt catch/release looks close to the same as on my MCX SPEAR. I like it alot as well. I have an LWRC DI AR-15 with the paddle style, id have to agree. Very cool brotha.

Griffin is criminally underrated, and I would recommend people get wise to this company. All the vanilla people out there touting BCM or an overpriced Daniel need to educate themselves to Griffin. I admit, I have some much more expensive rigs, and I’ve known about Griffin a long time. I’m surprised I don’t have a MK2 yet, but I’ll have to fix that. Try some other flavors people! Griffin is lookin good! 🤤
Another honorable mention goes to the LWRC M6ic Di for best value and full ambi. The Griffin 13.9” MK2 would be my interest with a Griffin can. I know how good a 14.5” 416R Lantac Raven barrel can perform for reference. I would assume that the MK2 has some serious accuracy potential, would love to compare!
i heard alot of people were having some issues with their mk2 lowers and the ambi mag release. mine was fine. little tight but i prefer that. nice lower overall.

I'm going nuts waiting for Capitol Armory to actually ship my new HRT 5.56. My stamp is approved, CLEO was notified, and the seven day waiting period has ended. They printed off the label to ship yesterday but haven't actually shipped. If they'd just give the damn thing to UPS it'd be here super fast cuz their FFL in my state is like 45min away from me. I hate when companies take a long time to ship, especially when I've already waited 3 weeks. This isn't a shot at griffin btw, this all comes down to Capitol Armory's FFL in my state.
@@randyreviewsit Well it hasn't been TOO long but really it should've shipped yesterday. I got my form 4 approved after like 4 or 5 days? I wish they'd offer the option of just transferring the item to a local ffl instead of having to wait for the non-over the counter cleo notification+7 day waiting period. To be clear, once your form 4 is approved they have you do a 4473 which gets sent to your local CLEO then once the CLEO has certified they received that 4473 a mandatory 7 day waiting period begins. So, that whole process is roughly two weeks and I'm now done with that and just waiting for them to actually ship the suppressor to me. It's friday, ship it so it gets here this weekend lmao

I’m surprised they didn’t go with Criterion for their barrels. I’m kicking around getting one of their lowers for a SBR. I have ADM and a LMT lowers now. It’s hard not to go for another LMT. I want Griffins PSR 7 for a 6.5 I built. I really like OTB suppressors. Great vid new sub

Yeah from here on out their charging handles are going on everything. Great latches, no sharp points, and the gas runoff is awesome

I have a mk2 lower absolutely love that thing. Right now it has a sons of Liberty upper on it. Thinking about getting a mk2 upper to match

Yeah to me it’s a griffin > bcm it’s a no brainer. I am still hoping to get a munitionworks as well, as I think they are another sleeper

I am right handed so definitely no, also I noticed gas really didn’t float back out of there until after I finished my strings of fire it seemed like.
If you dont want gas in your face, go with a pws mk1. Thank me later

Blackout defense is a really really well built gun, the lower receiver is pretty bulky is my only complaint.
