    Abby, thank you again! And thank you for the resume writing book; I was able to revamp and tailor my resume to the next job I’m applying for. Now I have the confidence that the resume is up to current standards, and has the relevant verbiage. You are the best!

    Very interesting about Skill Survey, i hadn't heard of that. The follow up email recommendation always kills me because a lot of times I won't have the contact information for the people I spoke to, just a recruiter or maybe HR. Do I ask HR to forward the message?

    Hi, I live in Canada. Are you aware of any websites where I can get info on the salary range re positions I am applying for. Glass door doesn't have info I am looking for. Thank you

    • @LifeWorkBalance
      @LifeWorkBalance  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question! Unfortunately no, I’m not aware of anything that is specific to Canada. Have you looked at O*Net? It’s run by the Bureau of Labor Statistics for the US, so it’s US specific, but it might be a good starting place. I have interview with the same people (2 supervisors). They asked me to prepare assignment. Any suggestions?

    • @LifeWorkBalance
      @LifeWorkBalance  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m sorry I was so delayed in responding! What did you end up doing for your “assignment?” Were you provided with additional context or just a request for “assignment?”

      @@esrat2508 hello congrats on your job . What questions were you asked during the second interview? Were the questions based on your assignment or random questions?.i have a second interview tomorrow and was asked to submit an assignment yesterday which I have

    • @esrat2508
      @esrat2508 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Scilla822 I made a presentation and they didnt ask me anything about it but I was well prepared. The only question in their mind was if I was coachable. So they asked me “what if we ask you research X, instead of Y”. I try to explain I would agree on their supervision. But there were another interview scheduled after me. So they cut it short but asked another final a discussion as soon as the other interview was done (I assume they were inbetween 2 candidates). We scheduled a third interview and it was to see if we are compatible. If I can go with their request and not quit etc. So my advice would be to show your excitement and prepare well for your assignment. If they ask for a second assignment, it means they are already impressed and want to see how you make an independent research of your own for a variety of topic. Good luck for tomorrow.

    With a company , I’ve had the recruiter screening & hr manager virtual interview. Next is the live skills tests. Supper nervous, I’m not sure how that’s graded. After that is on-site interview with multiple ppl from the colleague. Any advice ?

    • @LifeWorkBalance
      @LifeWorkBalance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! It depends on your field (some live skills interviews could be “practicals” (medical focus) where you physically demonstrate your skills (like CPR, inserting an IV, etc.) or they could be demonstrating your skills in a software or program (excel, coding, solving a problem, typing speed, etc.). The job posting will likely give you some insight into what types of skills will be assessed (computer skills, presentation skills, etc.) and hopefully the email notifying you about the live skills explained (even vaguely) what they would be.
      Most of the time those live skills are graded via a rubric or a computer program to ensure consistency with scoring.
      For the on-site interview I’d recommend bringing several copies of your resume and a notebook/pad to keep notes on who you met with (their names, positions, etc.), and to help you keep yourself organized.
      Check out these videos for more on bringing notes with you:
