Liron, I hope you see this comment. My twin and I were in Jerusalem when we were maybe 9 years old. We heard an enchanting sound in one of the alleyways close to the Western Wall that drew us towards it, leading us to you sitting down playing this song. I stood there mesmerized by your playing, by the melody, the combination of rhythm and tones. When you finished the song you gave us a card that said “liron man” and a few years later we found this video of you playing the exact song we heard that evening in Jerusalem. I’ve been wanting to purchase a hang drum ever since and have shown all my friends this video countless times, I’m in my 20’s now and still find myself rewatching this for inspiration. I now produce music for a living, mainly composing piano pieces. Whenever I feel uninspired while writing music, I come back to this video to remind me that beautiful and interesting songs exist out there. I’m going to buy my first hang drum this year. I want you to know that you’ve been a huge inspiration for me and I’m probably not the only person that you’ve inspired through your composition. Toda raba liron, be’emet.
Just seeing this now! What a beautiful touching message and story! Thank you so very much. Checkout my recently released album with Simone Mor called “Live In Beijing”, I hope you will like it nearly as much as you like this video. Looking forward to hear your creations too!
I watch this everyday. This is absolutely spiritual, I truly feel God listening to this! As a percussionist, I'm always trying to find the next great inspiration... I have found him! Great job, I CANNOT WAIT until these instruments are more available...
GOD BLESS YOU!!! YOU BLESSED OUR EARS AND SOUL WITH THIS MUSIC! i WILL DANCE THIS WONDERFUL MUSIC, FROM VENEZUELA.. Sublime Sounds, and sublime Rithms...
I just learned about this instrument today and have been listening to it all day ! Wow and it looks like one of my favorite things A ship! This Liron is so gifted !
It's a pleasure to look at your skill. Until you try and go very fast, we can feel you very relaxed. Musically, it's inspiring, and visually it is too. If you try and continue to improve, you may become almost out of this world. ;) Thanks for being. -Ed.
Precioso!!!!! Me encantó tu música!!! Por cómo le pegas a tu instrumento podrías participar en una cuerda de tambores uruguaya!!!!! Que tengas éxito!!!
Absolutely beautiful! What a performance! Brilliant technique! Thank you very much for this. I’ve just got one of these (Spacedrum) recently and they’re such a joy to play…even on a very beginners level.
Wow Man. you have been send from up above to play this drum. The sound is angelic. This souds like a persian song with a twist... Best of luck to you in all that you do.
i really love the sound . where can i buy hang in Malaysia ? . You are very talented and impressive . I couldnt stop repeating it again and again . I fell like I am flying in the sky .
@amiriruni Created in 2000, the Hang (pronounced "hung") is one of the younger musical instruments. It comes from Bern, Switzerland, and was created by Felix Rohner and Sabina Schärer OF THE PANArt Company. It was the result of many years of research on the steel pan and many other resonating percussion instruments from around the world: Gong, Gamelan, Ghatam, drums, cowbells... But to me of all the instruments it reminds me of the Indian 'GHATAM" which is a terracota (baked mud) pot.
can you free style on this instrument? I supose you can with any. But particularly with this one? Is there notes that you can read to play? wicked amazing beautiful, i dont know how to say how greatful i am to be able to hear the sound of this instrument!
@EddieOtool thx for the honest opinion and the nice words this video has more than 2 years i believe, there are newer videos with better skill and speed. actually, i am working right now on playing slower... hehehe
It's awesome man, you do an excellent job ! Your play is the fastest I've seen until today... Thanks a lot for these vibrations ! ... and see you around. Jul
slower... is probably a bit of a challenge for you as I can see you like the speed so much (so do we!) but I would LOVE to hear some of the slower pieces too - please share your tentative steps! (because tentative from you would still be sublime for us!)
Truly stunning. My one thought is the Hang Drum lacks a really low end, have you ever considered bass pedals? Could you play them as well? I noticed at one point you had to grab it to stop it falling off your lap, so it might be pretty difficult!
What key is this particular hang drum? O, thanks to you I'm going crazy trying to get one!!! Bali steel has me at a 4 month waiting list which is not bad compared to some of the other waiting lists!!!
Didnt the manufacturers stop producing the hang drum ? Last time i looked into getting one they werent being produced. If you know otherwise please share.
lironmann - nice job. You can never play an instrument with too much passion. Traditional handpan players will always knock it, but it's because the majority of them are moderate to low skilled. These instruments don't have to be relaxing, nor should they they be. Don't dare change your style - you're easily one of the best players on youtube - (AnvariNation is clueless)
blessings for this blessed music! ohh, and yeah, those dislikes were given by demons leaving the body of some possessed while they were listening this by mystake...
