Yeah I was going to say the same. I wish there was a setting for how hard it is to die from various deaths. The chaos is what I like most in the game. Plus there's so many warnings about it.. I'd toggle those off too. I want random bad things to happen throughout the game.. that's what makes it fun. Like the burglars from the older games. It's like how Kayla kept the fire toilet around just so there'd be random fires happening to spice things up. It's annoying on Sims 4 how *you* have to create all the drama and chaos. I know some people like that but I'd say a majority of people don't. We want the sandbox but also random chaos and story happening.

Does anyone else think there needs to be a 'Romantic Boundaries' category that reflects inwards as well? As is, the new system basically gives a sim standards that they hold their partners to, BUT this does not affect the Sim's own behavior, inclinations, or personal convictions. For example, I have a Sim with the 'Loyal' trait, but if they feel flirty and already have a partner, they still have the same chance of flirting with other Sims in group conversations as anyone else, if you let them behave autonomously. In short, you can make a Sim be as jealous or not jealous as you want, but they will be as faithful as Don Lothario. I'd also like it if traits such as 'Loyal', 'Non-Committal', 'Jealous', etc. have a greater impact in the "Lovestruck" DLC.

I wonder if you need less romantic-specific sadness if youre already sad, like if you tried dating after someone died. Like, does all sadness stack or does it have to be specific directed sadness to meet the broken heart death threshold.

I think sims dying from a broken heart is good for storytelling. I imagine a sim parent dying from heartbreak after losing their child, or a sim dying from heartbreak over losing a beloved pet, or a sim dying from heartbreak after losing their best friend, ect.
