hahaha That is Hilarious. So that means that each individual unit must be test to see how they prioritize skills. I mean just because X unit use Atks first doesn't means Y unit will do the same.
This opens a lot of strategies, especially on clash bases and auto-farming. Because of this, you can now trust auto to not dumb when attacking enemies in auto mode.
I have found this skill order mattering to be the case for me as well, noticed it last week when doing some farming which i think is very nice that we can tweak skill priorities
That is very interesting. So the AI might not be so bad after all. We just need to find what each character prioritize to see if we need to change skill order. But I do like that Healer do prioritize on Healing if they need unlike some other games... *cough* (I'm looking at you WotV) that do not heal unless they are like dying or less than 50% HP XD
Yea but it makes sense. Its not a heal, the big thing is the atk and def buffs for everybody for 2 turns... I do it too with my Maitha, its not a mistake at all
i wish they add like strategy to auto like target priority based on HP/Range/Weakness then set the AI style for each character to play as support tank or dps then we can have pvp AI vs AI content for clash , because the clash AI so stupid it so unfair for defender
It seems to do the following order: 1) Healing (from left to right), Buffs (from left to right), Attacks (from left to right). I'm unsure what priority debuffs are in. Gloria has her charge in slot 1 and Counterattack Mode in slot 3 but she will use S3 even right infront of enemy.
Is it bad that I with the game DIDN'T get enhanced AI? I kind of like that it just "Gets the job done" in farming content, but it won't clear you harder content. At least for me, personally, I like being incentivized to play Manual. I go out of my way to play it and the difficulty increase has been very nice :)
You're doing the Lord's work! I hate how simplistic the AI is...I wish it also takes traits and human logic into account. AI using AOE on one enemy or attacking from the front when the rear is available, is lame.
I could be wrong, but is it possible the type triangles are also part of figuring out who to attack? While I was watching this I was Auto-moding clash and noticed that my Col would often times attack the breaker units even if they were on the edge of her movement.
haha kinda wild but interesting. just more info for you to mention in character build vids now XD. edit: also what about if the unit has an item with an item skill effect?.....mhm... 🤔
I wish this worked for Clash defenses. I tried setting my Abyss up to use her AoE null reaction skill + null passive skills on round 1 then follow up with single target debuffs in later turns, but she always starts with her single target skill for some reason
Well you can always remove skills you don't want them to use on auto. The real problem is just that AI is really dumb. If they don't actually improve it they'll still just keep walking into traps all day.
There's an rpg game forgot the title, that I've played where you could tweak the skill priorities, you could turn it on and off and there's a option which should be prioritized in order. The game definitely needs a lot of improvements.
i think its random. i think what happen is a person got lucky and she did the order twice, cause my buff is my last skill and she does it all the time on auto.
I love the game but already staled out for me im bored of it already took less then 15 total hours to beat fools and once ur char 5 star whats the point of it? Progression seems slow to me
I hope this is the case because I've been thinking of quitting the game because of how bad the auto is. The only gacha that's gotten auto right is Reverse 1999
I think there's a lot of potential for an auto game, it changes the mechanics of the game, the game becomes an optimization and configuration focused game, with trial and error if they game allows auto to be adjusted with depth. @@nguyentranminhthoi8962
@@nguyentranminhthoi8962Hsrd agree. If you notice, trash farming like the Rank Awakening and Character EXP stages are meant to me easy/auto-able. I DON'T want this to get to a point where people just auto Fools Journey/Spiral and miss out on the story/voice acting.
Unicorn overlord lets you add logic triggers for skills. Id like to add that for healing skills. If health is 100% dont heal

And she attack enemy face on from the front
@@epsilonexp7028 eww yeah that is bad AI design. I mean if she can reach an opponent's back why not make her prioritize their backs?
This and every other ai in tactical games make me realize how good we had it with FFXII’s Gambit system 😢
you should test on fool journey stages they dont cost stamina to retry
lol the man literally threw away castalias to test this. He isn't concerned about a couple of stamina points.
This video needs to be an in game tutorial. This tech will make or break units on auto.
We appreciate the castalia purchases for content! Truly a man who won't skimp on his content, lol
It's nice, yeah, but remember he does get free paid currency for being a content creator, so he didn't really have to spend money on it.

Cant wait for Jay to blow up like crazy. So well deserved with the quality and consistency of these videos.

my maitha always uses the group heal even if everyone is full, no matter the order
maybe cause it also gives buffs, not just heals
beacuse the cheese buff and make her guard for other people, its not like a heal from angel for exemple
LOL i feel you man, my Maitha isnt a tank she identifies as a healer lol
Yea but it makes sense. Its not a heal, the big thing is the atk and def buffs for everybody for 2 turns... I do it too with my Maitha, its not a mistake at all
sadly and i run her with the bp weapon so she spamming heals like no tomorrow

Feels like Aj is back at home trying out how to make AI to do his bidding lol.
Great info, thank you for sharing!
I actually was wondering about the skill order use, glad I was SOMEWHAT right on my assumptions.
Ah yes, i figured this out myself. AI was using skills and not using others, so i changed the order around or removed others, and the AI got better.

This was really good to know
Not notice about this before, interesting topic.
Meanwhile my Gloria with AOE 2nd skill 100% uses on first turn lol

i think they need add some option to turn off some skill when auto
or just give option to be more offensive or defensive when auto
or add prio skill order so you can combo skill

I saw that post and the comments were all over the place 😅
Now if only we can get maitha to not waste her group heal when everyone is at full health lol
thats actually a giant find
SCIENCE! 👍
Innana most times do princess prayers on her guard in auto😢
It’s bullshit like most stuff on Reddit ber literally only uses her aoe on cooldown lol

This game is a little harder on auto. They aren't very smart AI battlers :)
The AI is pitiful in this game compared to WOTV.
So lonely in the comments 😢
