      @@EverythingSmartHome It would be really great if you can make a video of yourself trying to set up the second one mentioned, Homekit by Mattias. That is a very popular one but only tutorial online is documentation and no video tutorials. Huge fan of all your videos! Keep up the great work!

    Thanks for this one Lewis. While I've spent far too much time on my dashboards to let something automagically build from scratch, it's was really interesting to see what's out there. Some really 'nice' design ideas in there which I may well look at incorporating in my own setup.

      Same here. I tried and spend several hours, but it seems that it does not even closely resemble the looks of all the screenshots in the default mode. Not to mention the outdated and faulty documentation on their webpage/github-wiki (i.e. missing/renamed third party requirements) and horrible first example which really does not serve a purpose.

    Great video! I do think that a dashboard is an integral part of a smart home because it can give you actionable analytics and really bring out the value of home automation to other people in your house. And that encourages everyone to adopt the smart home setup. I approach my dashboard by trying to make it more like an interactive infographic (I make maps for a living!). My primary challenge is how to make all the relevant info fit into one screen without making it cluttered or confusing. Quite a challenge if you only have the real-estate on a mobile phone screen to work with!

    Hi, I'm in love with minimalist UI and I am trying to implement into my HA and I was wondering if you could share your dashboard code.
    I was trying to replicate some cards that you have shown but I am struggling.
    Thank you so much

    • @gehtdichnixan2801
      @gehtdichnixan2801 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That would be really nice. I was trying the same over the weekend, but man: that was a horrible experience. From outdated (and duplicate?) documentation, an example which does not even replicate the screenshots they show and for some strange reason all the cards do not have the charming rounded corners per default as you can see everywhere ULM gets posted.
      I would really really appreciate if a quick guide could be made on how to achieve the look of all the screenshots. Does not have to be a full tutorial, just some real world examples would be nice to see, how they were set up, which adjustments were made, etc.

    I thought I'd add a nice comment but I see I'm way too slow. :-)
    Excellent video, really useful. I am still concentrating on the backend of my Home Assistant setup, Adding sensors, scripts and automations. I am yet to start implementing the frontend but this will be very helpful. Currently have 5 * Tesco Hudl 2 tablets running my own interface around the house but I can't get batteries and spares for them now so they have to be replaced. I have 10 * 8" Fire HD tablets to replace them and am starting to think about dashboards.
    Totally get the 'I'm not a designer' sentiment so this will be a great help when I get started on the UI.

    Hi Lewis, Great video and overview of the dashboards. I've been building my own from the Lovelace UI Minimalist and trying to mirror one of Lovelace views of the Rooms from your video. Would it be possible to share some of your config for your Rooms\views and the grid\card buttons that navigate to other Lovelace views ie rooms, temperature, lights all in the same grid?
