    WE'RE SO BACK BABY. This series will probably get a video every week or so; I just started a new project at work and I'm streaming a shit ton so I'm gonna try and find time to work on this and get these videos up weekly ISH. I'm not dead!

    Pro tip: CJEs can produce insane power per material, but their thrust per material actually sucks. But, if you use the full CJE to produce power, and use that to power some propellor blades with max clearance, you can get a large volume of extremely efficient thrust.

      Interesting idea, although the prospect of having hyuge max clearance propellers on the back of a foil sounds like a HE "shoot here!!!" target. I'm not too too concerned about actual efficiency in the build, I just brought it up as a point to note that hydrofoils can free utilize CJEs without any concern in comparison to ships, whether they want to use them for power or thrust.

    I’m not sure what mic you’re using, but if you can change the directionality/bring it closer to your mouth and turn the game down, in order to cut down on keyboard noise, I think that would raise the production value a ton.
    (Did love the video, just something I thought about during the intro)

    Im excited for this. It’ll be great for me because I’ve never built any medium-large hydrofoil vehicles. Maybe I’ll get into it.

    Hm, well, I think I'll ditch my super battleship project for a while and I'll try to make a destroyer to challenge a design. I have a few nasty railguns designed, a tournament would be a perfect test to showcase those ;)

      The goal is to get people to actually build stuff with these tournaments, and 1 mil is DEFINITELY way more achievable!

      @@Brenzo44 I agree. However, the other one was also a good way to motivate people to build. I got so absorbed with trying to build a counter to the Ragnarok, that I managed to go way over budget, yet I managed to design pretty nasty guns. My initial idea was to build rapid fire railguns with really high velocity projectiles to overwhelm the Rag's defenses and leave very little time for interception. I think against a fast hydrofoil the same idea could work, but this time, projectile velocity will serve the purpose to increase hit probability.

      Yup. The armor should be pretty tough, and you’re probably gonna have to go with a one gun design, though. Im hoping for this thing to just be a campaign wiper that is decently good meta wise

      @@Brenzo44 I hope to create a true multirole vessel tough, so if my design has some merits, you may feature it in your campaign series. We'll see. Maybe I'll design 2 ships, one to challenge your design with that configuration in mind and one much lighter but more versatile. The second design should be built in a way that it would be a good submarine hunter and with limited surface weapons. I was thinking about using cram mortars for sub hunting... is it a viable approach for that purpose?

    Any tips for keeping a onesider in upright even though it takes damage on only one side? And also, love the new series!

    • @Brenzo44
      @Brenzo44  ปีที่แล้ว

      Like a flying one, yeah? Probably start by keeping your jets mostly behind your armor (if possible). If something breaches your frontal armor then you usually have bigger things to worry about than your jets lmao. Otherwise, redundant jets (aka a lot of them)

      @@Brenzo44 it is a water based unsymmetrican broadsider that broadsides on only one side

    • @Brenzo44
      @Brenzo44  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah. Rudders on the side that isn't getting hit, up/roll props on the under side, making the rest of the ship besides the armor out of buoyant materials (alloy), so on so on. Basically the same stuff you'd do for a normal broadsider, you just have to realize that rolling becomes a serious concern and you'll need to control that somehow

    • @bolrod_4526
      @bolrod_4526 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't really understand what your issue is are you just talking about stablisation issues, and if so what does it have to do with the ship being a frontsider ? Anyway if you're having issues with stabilisation you need to first make sure that your ship has yaw, pitch and roll propellers (jets ,ion thrusters, propellers whatever) and that they provide enough force to cancel the forces applied on your vehicle at all time. Also you need to make sure that your ai has properly ajusted pids, to adjust the ^pids you need to go to the pid controller tab of the ai menu and go to the pid section, then adjust the gain, derivative time and integral time until the error (displayed on the bottom of the chart with the green line ) is low enough

      @@bolrod_4526it is a broadsider not a frontsider, and these solutions are all things that people build with anyway, this is a bad-faith response
