There's a show named "The X Files", you might like it too. Also "Monk", "Forever" (2014), and "Harrow" (Australian show), and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
There a three episode documentary series on TH-cam called The Mystery of Matter, that is narrated by Michael Emerson. You'll get Finch vibes as he's narrating.
There are rare actors whose diction, intonation, inflection combine to produce compelling speech. Morgan Freeman, Richard Attenborough, William Defoe, Michael Emerson, and Terry O'Quinn are few such actors. Anthony Hopkins is among the best at this...when you watch him in Westworld, you get this vibe of Robert Ford just savagely indicting all of humanity and undercutting its sense of self-importance. My favorite scene in Lost was when the Smoke Monster in the guise of John Locke finally revealed itself to Ben Linus after Jacob is dead courtesy of Ben and Locke has killed Bram and the rest of his crew. As Locke is casually dragging and piling up the dead bodies in the corner of Jacob's place (at the foot of the statue), you see the dawning realization on Ben's face as to what he's done and why Locke needed him, and how he/it manipulated Ben. When Locke finally sits down and reveals its assessment of John Locke and its goal, you see the horror in Ben's face. Terry O'Quinn's acting was extraordinary as he was portraying an impersonation of John Locke, adding an element of sinister and menace to the face we had come to know as John Locke, and Ben who until then had masterfully manipulated John Locke, realizes what a puppet he'd been from the get go and how he'd played right into this "thing's" hands.
Root Is awesome. She demonstrates that she will honestly, deeply, and organically use methods to create positive outcomes. She might tip the legal scale a time or two, but she blazes for justice. She rules. Examine your own psyche for reasons why you can't stand her.
I can't believe this series was cancelled. So amazing and with awesome actors. I really hope they bring back to life someday, and for sure, with Michael.
The show's producers decided not to continue with the show and preferred to end it on their own terms, rather than the network pulling the plug on them.
I think that five Seasons are enough to tell any story as long as they had planned for it. Babylon 5 almost got to do it perfectly but then had the cancellation and restart at the end of season 4 which kind of screwed up the plan.
@@Onigirli The producers ended the show, that's why we actually got a series ending in S5 with the final Machine vs Samaritan faceoff. A lot of other shows get canceled and don't get the opportunity to actually end out in a satisfactory way. It's sad that it didn't continue, but good that it ended in a satisfying, fulfilling way that makes people feel like going back is worth it.
It is really hard to hate these two personalities. Emerson's Finch and Acker's Root are arguably the two best examples of perfect actor-character match, and extremely effective casting including, Reese, shaw, Carter, Fusco and Greer is undoubtedly one significant factor responsible for the success of this series., not to mention the outstanding production design including the presentation of this subway set. I have just finished watching all 103 episodes on DVD and I must admit Person of Interest far exceeded my initial expectation in all respects.
Given the house cleaning under way in Hollywood at present, actors such as Emerson and Caviezel will be given far greater credit and respect. When they play the part of conscientious honest characters, they are clearly acting naturally.
Yes, without a doubt. And let's not forget the writers and producers, they're the real brains behind the show, for they create the "world" the set designers design, the stories the actors portray, and the lines they speak. But the actors do a great job bringing the ideas, the story, to life.
I hope they never dismantle these. They are so costly and can be easily redecorated for other shows. Great job they did with the removable ceiling panels to facilitate shooting.
Thanks for the video! Amy is SOOOO sweet - as always! One can only envy Michael and the rest of the POI team that they are blessed to spend so much time with this exquisite epitome of delightful enchantment and mesmerizing femininity. She is an embodiment of joy and coziness!
I don't disagree with the general sentiment, but wow, isn't that laying it on a bit thick? I'm sure Michael, Jim, Sarah, and Kevin are each good, interesting, and delightful people in their own right as well.
Yesterday, 29 may 2021 I finished the series. I think a fairly tale ended and my life from yesterday is very different. I am feeling so sad that I cannot watch these characters anymore. Became irritated from yesterday. Love you Finch
I agree 100 %. What i Love also the besides the story when you See in Action the hacking cam with Information from the Camera i Love that Design in the series ❤️
Great series! I loved all 5 years of POI. Amy Acker made me fall in love again. So did Paige Turco, who appears in several episodes. Jim Caveziel is wonderful in Person Of Interest. Perfect for the part of The Man In The Gray Suit.
I've always personally loved NYC and its subway system. combine that with a great storyline, screenplay and wonderful cast/crew, it's nothing short of a sensational show
I was so sad when Amy/Root died that close to the end of the show and to see Reese die at the very end made me so sad too an amazing experience to watch those character progress over those five seasons i loved it and they did a great job.
I agree. The build up of the characters over the 5 seasons was great and the ending really hit you in the gut. Such a sad way to end a great show. Rip Reese
What I liked about this set it is you can imagine it could really happen, in many cities like New York, an old subway line might end up obsolete and they might not go to the trouble of filling in the old tunnels but just brick off the old tunnel and leave an occasional old car in there where it was.
I MISS this show even more than Lost LOL. I record watch reruns or episode after episode on Netflix. Any chance of a revival from a new perspective? Perhaps memories from the machine? I was actually searching for information on Bear to see if he was the same Malinois on Seal Team. Talented animal actors are rare and often appear in multiple movies/series (e.g. I discovered the horse Russell Crowe rode in Gladiator turned out to be the same one he rode in Robin Hood). Yes, I'm an animal lover, but love Reese, Shaw, Root, Finch, Carter, and Fusco, as well. Perfection. Please come back!
yay, i clicked the 500 like. It's interesting how Michael Emerson can be such a badass. I mean, he's chillin' with Root and he's married with Carrie Preston in real life.
Amy Acker's smile can brighten up any room.
i just finished the series and idk what to do with my life now
i feel you im still depressed now
I finished it last night and I'm slowly accepting to be okay with the ending.

@@youeclipseall ah yess ive heard of the X-filesss and thanks for the recommendations :DD i'll check em out after i finish bingewatching Orphan Black
Rewatching the last season right now.
I could listen to Michael Emerson read a whole phonebook and thorougly enjoy it.

He's a great actor and narrator. But good luck with that phonebook thing... 😆

LUL yea that was funny

Amy Acker is so beautiful and perfect 😍
I appreciate her talent, but I can't STAND the character of Root!

Amy is so naturally beautiful she looks even better with little or no makeup!
If I become a billionaire, I'll build that in my basement.
Ms. Acker has the most beautiful and genuine smile.

Sad end of Reese, I was shocked. Good actors, good cast, good music. Reese and Finch should Come alive in Reality, 'cause we need such heroes
Incredible show. Incredible Actors / Actresses. Incredible writers / creators. Would absolutely love to see a new season.
These two are quite adorable together.
This series was very smart, full of action and could tell a variety of stories at the same time. Cheers from Brazil.
Really cool behind the scenes look at the new set. Amy Acker in one word "STUNNING"
miss this show so very much. It needed one or 2 more seasons to end proper.
this series is a true masterpiece 🔥🔥❤️

Damn, Amy is just too beautiful for words to adequately express, her being in a blue dress should be illegal.
Have you seen her in Angel? In season 5 she gets blue hair and blue eyes. She's just awesome!
Michael Emerson is gorgeous. Wow-wee
Micheal Emerson looks like the most honest man alive. 😆
When Michael said perpetrator and victim , this reminds me the opening titles of POI .
