the way i make my maps is with just 3 layers. The Base for the water, the 2nd layer is the residential streets with all the water bodies cut out, and 3rd layer is the main highways and arterial roads with main boarder and name of city down the bottom. you want to save as much material as possible.

Do you have to use Maple Proofgrade™ Plywood or just any plywood ?
