Even though the killer reveals can somewhat ruin a movie, I don’t care for them as much anymore. I care about the chase scenes. Filmmakers today don’t have the art of the chase scene in their hearts/heads. If you have one or two that puts the audience on the edge of their seats, it will already be semi-successful. Decent dialogue is also necessary because characters today are paint-by-numbers snoozefests.
You spin it well but I find the whole premise of this movie to be preposterous. Because the events took place decades ago with no events occurring until now just makes this movie far fetched. It still should be called I Know What You Did 25-30 Summers Ago.
@@drewhaase4590 Maybe the child was never knew the truth behind the murders and only blamed Ben Willis as a crazed killer only to find out the whole story. I've seen crazier things in real life unfortunately
What happened to the characters of Julie & Ray are most likely known. Like - True crime KNOWN. It's easily plausible that the new story/killer is just capitalizing on that past situation. It doesn't necessarily have to be a continuation of the past. It's just simply - A way to connect to present trauma for the killer involved in this story. JS 🤷🏼♂️
Definitely like the idea of how a lie fester and lingers and no matter how you try to forget it it will always impact those around you in ways we can’t control or ultimately avoid and certainly a lie like this movie presents which has happened irl in many different situations so that’s why this franchise is more compelling to me than scream. By comparison I have to suspend my disbelief far more in scream than I do with IKWYDLS because the motives are understandable on both sides.
I'm not buying into this theory that Max got a girl pregnant before he died that flies in the face of the original. Think about it Max prior to the roadside accident was trying too hard to hook up with Julie. If he already had some fling or relationship with another girl then why was he trying to pursue Julie during the film's opening?
Dude. As a man I have to say we are Dawgs. He can already have a shawty he be hitting every now and than, and still try and get with Julie (and fail). Not saying I buy it. But I dont think its out of posablity
@@criticaloverlord4809 Even so nothing in Max's scenes in 1997 the year after the accident. Even suggests that Max was in a relationship he just comes across as a guy working for a living. Would it be a nice connection in the legacy sequel yes but a plausible one no. It would all fall apart once you apply logic to the situation. Max's offspring would blame Ben Willis for their father's death not Julie and Ray. Max was just passing by when the roadside accident happened. And assuming if Ben Willis is still alive in this sequel Max's now adult child would want to kill Ben Willis. I agree that Julie needs a reason to be in the film besides simply being fan service. I just don't see Max unknowingly having a child before his death being that subplot narrative.
This was a brilliant thought for the plot. I was wondering if they would do something more close to home like Will Benson had a son we didn't know about who wants revenge or something crazy but super clique, but I love the idea that Max had a baby with someone and that child want revenge for the secrets that Julian and Ray kept that ultimately got Max killed.

It makes the most sense that the killer is related to Helen, Barry or Max. I like that idea
Yeah maybe Helen's dad since both his daughters died.
