Maybe it was just me but man that felt like a haul ass trip!!! High gear and strolling for sure. Then saw the reason for the big hurry only second load of day and sun was setting. That was a nice looking 359!!
It is a good sound! This transmission has such a short throw, and it's pretty picky with how you shift, but maaan does it compliment you when you get it right. Click, click! 👍
I tell you what man u sure can gearjamm and yeah older trucks are picky how u drive them but u know they are fun as hell to drive and to listen to them is like listing to chicks moan in the bedroom ... Fun fun fun !!!!!!!!
that Pete is really nice I want one like this for years, but a Big Cam in a 359 seems odd to me I know them from AMG's hard Puller Lift front wheel good engines, but 359 to me needs a 3408 or VT903.
Lol. It's parked right next to where this one is staged for morning green chop, and they needed the trailer it was hooked to, so I just used this ol' girl for the weekend. This is actually the truck I drove first when I started with this company originally.
Only a driver with Farmer size brain uses Jack brakes at speeds of 5 miles/hour, and plz make sure all the dash lights work, take better care of the old girl. TH
Only assholes offer insults on the first interaction. Not my truck, just a truck I drive for someone... and what's the issue with using Jakes(Jack brakes, apparently) at slower speeds? Why should I use my airbrakes instead, if the jake is fully capable of burning off momentum instead?

Eh, this dairy only gets two loads, and that was the sun rising. We just like to haul ass is all. Lol!
The ending is brilliant ! 👍👍👍
Спасибо шеф!😊👍 как будто сам сидел за рулём легендарного классического 359го петербилта! Классно👍🙂
I like driving my 1974 Peterbilt 359-A with a Big Cam 400 Cummings, Eaton Fuller 13 speed Transmission, Rockwell Rears pulling a Hopper Bottom.
Lovthe "snick, snick" sound going from gear to gear on that old trans. I miss that. Drove for thirty five years. Todd the retired trucker.

Yessir, 13-speed. She's a blast!
This is rare example of a Cummins Big Cam running on a stock muffler
Whats the top speed loaded?
Whereabouts in az are yall located? Kinda looks like the road next to 85

There were more big cams in 359s than 3208s.
Check out my project 359 pete when you get a chance
