Very thorough explanation. Thank you. On a completely different note, I would love to meet the engineer who designed this vehicle.
Me too! And yell at them because they did a stupid job. Many issues on how they designed this
Yes yes they did im watching this video now so I can do mine so much stuff I've had to work on and it's stupid
Same, as well as I want to meet whoever in marketing said "this is a mom car, with no tread on the tires and no spare, LET'S MARKET IT AS A JEEP!"
You and me both. What a bunch of crap to have to do for one single bulb replacement. Honestly, it's criminal the way these 'designers' pull money from the owners.
Because whoever it is, they are a complete IDIOT! 🤦🏾♀️😮💨
At first I wondered why this video was so long. Wow, nice job on explaining the whole process.
Thanks for the tip about the screw that enables you to drop the bumper. This made it a lot easier to get to the bulb socket. I couldnt see any other video that pointed out that tip. Great job, thanks again.
Worked like a charm! I noticed some water buildup and the bulb stopped working. Dealership wanted 600$ to replace the triple wire connector and also the light housing itself. Never mentioned the bulb at all. Declined their “generosity” and bought my own bulb for 7$. Followed this video exactly and replaced the bulb without even needing to remove the entire housing with the torque screws. Really appreciate the explanations!
Yup guess I’m lucky just have to replace the bulb👍go video
Finally, Somebody who really knows how to do it properly! .. Thank you so much!
Thanks for this man. Thorough and saved me from having to jack up the car and take the wheel off.
I am about to change my signal light out, and your video is very thorough, which I need. Thank you :)
The engineer of this vehicle broke his brain to do something so simple, he did it very badly. thanks for the explanation good video
Best walk through I’ve found for this replacement. Thank you
Thought this was hard before watching the video. I'm just going to leave it. My blinker works, just not the side light. It's half full of water. Good video. It made my choice not to do it much easier. Thx.
Lol
IF you watched the whole video- there is no side marker bulb. Just a reflector!
Like many of you below, my light housing was half full of water. But, the bulb still works. So, I drilled a 1/16" hole at the lowest point in the front of the housing, then backed the car up an incline to make sure it would all drain out. Took 10 minutes or so with that small a hole, but it doesn't show. Will leave it open so from wherever the water leaks in, it won't get half-full anymore. Now I hope that bulb has a lot of life left in it, so I don't have to go through all that mess just to get at ONE BULB!
Thank you I tried reaching down into change this and was unable to so I turned to TH-cam and found you. Your explanation was great I was able to do it with no problem.
This videos is one of the best out there to fix these god damn cars, why does it have to be this frickin difficult
This will be a good weekend project.
This was a helpful video. Thanks
Saved my life! You were very thorough & I was able to follow all the steps. Detailed & fairly easy a chick can do it. high ten.
There's nothing on a vehicle that a "chick" couldn't do.
Nice job. Very good description of procedures.
Life liberty victory!
Just two front screws in the front of those lights to hold it in place but no that would mess up the whole look of the jeep and you can’t charge hours of labor just for installation.
That's a pro tip on moving the bumper forward. Thank you
Sry just finding this video. Going to try this DIY soon. Will see how it goes. You did a great job on EVERYTHING! The only suggestion I have for you is maybe wear a headlamp in dark filming. Will let you know. Take Care :)
I can definitely do this myself. Thanks for everything pal😌👌🏾
This is the best explanation and getting the bulb out was hard
Thanks, I'm installing one today.
Stupidly designed.. Was that the best way Jeep could come up with? FFS just to replace bulb is a pain in the ass
GM😂
Agreed. Changing the bulb now on the driver's side. Stupidly difficult
This was very useful if you want to make it easier take of the 2 gray nuts and the black hex nuts between the two
And what I did is I just took the tire off it makes it much easier when you have to but the screw that holds the bumper and fender together
Good job Dullah.! Thank you so much!
Thank you very much! This was very helpful!
Thank you, now I can change it myself!
So glad Jeep made it so easy to replace the turn signal bulb. :((( I have to change both sides.
You are Awesome. Thank You So Much
Thanks for the video! Just a quick note-in the video you mention the bulb is a "3751NA". However, all the info I've found online says that this is not the right bulb, and that in fact the car takes a 3757NA. Which of these is correct?
Very detailed, an helpful. Thank u
Very helpful. God bless.
Thank you, man❤
Nice job my friend thank you very much
Very helpful! Thank you!
This is a great tutorial!
Great instructions- thank you!
You are excellent! Great job indeed.
Nice! Thanks for the explanation!
Greetings from Ukraine
Could you please tell me how to change front lights in jeep Patriot 2013?
Thanks
This must be a chronic Jeep Patriot issue as the passenger side front - turn signal is messed on my Patriot (it's holding water) - which lead me to this video.
Mine stopped working when I changed my head lights bulbs. At first I've put some xenon, they were too powerful even with a Ballast , it was prolly not the right one but it came with it. Then I've put some white halogen and the same night I put them on my passenger side front blinker stopped working. Idk if it's related to the mods I've made prior to that.
thank you very much I should of watch this before
I popped the plastic casing off whoops.
Good video. What was the total time with replacing and putting things back if you don't mind me asking.
Thank you for this!
All my turn signal needs is the bulb not the lens and bulb but good video
Got the link for the tools??
Thank you!!!
You sound jamaican, or Caribbean 🤔 i have a same jeep with same light problem so thanks for information it helps 👍
What was the tool you used ?
👍 appreciate the help
Hey you didn’t put the parts in the description what bulb did you need? Could I get it from autozone
Thank you for letting me know and i go a head and add them to there am not sure if auto zone sell them but you can go ahead and give them a call and see if they sell them
Best way is too remove the tire and the complet inner wheel well. Then you can clean all the junk between the finder and fire wall.
Thanks bro !
Very good
Hi there I am currently trying to change this same exact bulb on the same side as you did here. I am to the part where I have to push the bumper forward to get it separated from the clip on the inside. However, I am having some difficulty because it's not wanting to push out like you stated in your video. The clip looks like it is in there and then it needs to come out before I push the bumper forward. Any help?
.I would not have gotten as far as I did with out this video so outstanding job on the video ..but my issue was a bit different my entire light housing was full of WATER. but the turn signal still worked ,however the running light did not .I was able to remove the bulb with out loosening the bumper .however replacing the bulb got the same result , inspection of the socket leads me to think the contact for the running light was bad ( rusted away ).....my question is about the wiring to the socket .since sockets are sold without wires has any one ever re inserted the 3 existing wires back into a new socket ? and has anyone EVER found water in the bulb housing ???
Just drill a small hole at the bottom of the clear panel. I did it to both of mines. Works like a charm.
It's a T-20 on my 07 patriot
Dios lo bendiga me gusto el video bien explicado gracias
Hello Dullah, I have a question about replace turn signal lamp. I replaced the new turn signal lamp of my 2010 Jeep Patriot. But after I changed a new bulb of passenger front, the turn signal still doesn't work. Only the passenger front doesn't work, the rest turn signal lamps are working fine. Also, I checked the fuses which looks good. Do you have any ideas of the issue happen? Thank you.
Check for power and grounds in the socket
@@DULLAHGOSOHARD Yes, I think may be the socket issue. Because when I take off the old bulb, both bulb and socket has some rust on them. Do I need to replace a new socket?
@@zekeliang9401 try sanding the rust off
What tool is that ?
My headlight just broke the other day. The bulb is good but the light is broken on the passenger side. I thought I would be able to fix it myself until I watched this video and boy was I way in over my head. 17 millimeter🤔 ughh. How much would this cost?? Somebody anybody tell me. Please and thank you.
Ughhh...why, couldn't they made it to where you can pop off the plastic casing!?!
HI Dullah, I have a question for you. I just ordered a K&M air filter for my 2016 Chevy Malibu 2.0 turbo. After watching a few videos the reviews were mixed.
Some people say this filter will ruin your MAS and some people say they have used them for years with no problems.
I trust your opinion, please let me know what you think.
You should be good if you dont drive through alot of dust and dirt road because the k&n filter is more of an high flow filter which dont filter out as much
@@DULLAHGOSOHARD
Thank you, I live in Florida.
Not many dirt roads here where I live, just regular roads.
@@stellabella5269 then you are ok clean it every time you do an oil change
Dullah that's the part I was worried about.
Cleaning it out, then you have to spray this oil on it.
People were saying the oil ruins the mas.
I'm thinking if i let it fully dry in the sun should be OK.
Yes that is a must make sure it dry properly before you install it
Of course he skipped the part of putting the fender clips on the bottom of the bumper back in
We have too many cars, my wife parked her Jeep in the same spot we back our other cars when backing out of our car port. She backed her dad's car with a wheelchair lift into the Jeep, smashing the bumper and that lamp. After 37 of years of marriage I am used to fixing her mistakes.
So if a guy I'm talking to tells me they are a design engineer for jeep me thinks I shall kick them square in the balls! Dillweeds they are!
That screw placement is awful inconvenient.
Thanks for the screwing JEEP.
I am feeling THIS today lol
Who the f*** designed this shit?!?
This is one of the reason not to buy jeep. Maybe the older jeeps but the newer ones is the one you stay away from!get japanese
I lost all hope in engineering with this. Why the fuck would you have to do all this for something you should be able to access and change in 5 min tops
Because who made it dont have to fix it i guess lol
.... would have never found it ( manual is missing ) thanks
