  • The Barefoot Contessa movie (1954) with famous Humphrey Bogart and Ava Gardner, where Ava Gardner dances unforgettable bolero in gypsy camp.
Original music is written and performed by Mario Nascimbene Orchestra and has sadly very bad sound quality. Here's my attempt to play it as authentic as possible.

Prijeten konec tedna.

Diese bolero zumbeispiel, is sicher kein "meisterwerk".
      Bogdan

    G'day mate
I just found this and haven't heard this bolero. Only the usual one I have heard all my life (a long time).
I have this keyboard and wondering what voice and style you are using.
I am in the process of buying a sx700 so am taking note of the tune but would like to know the details because I will be keeping the 373 because there are styles on it that I can't find on any other keyboard.
    Thanks mate....from Australia

      hi Gerry,
Yes, when someone mentions "bolero", then we usually automatically think about Ravel's Bolero. I'm not an expert on this, but I think that "bolero" is actually the type/rhythm of music on which one can dance "the bolero" dance -I'm not sure, so you better check wikipedia 🙂.
This style doesn't exist on any keyboard because I created it by myself -the same is true for all songs that I play on TH-cam. If you're interested on the process of style creation, then you're welcome to watch a series of Style creation videos on my TH-cam channel.
Right now I don't recall the exact name of voices that I used for main melody; I only know it was some flute and accordion.
After having SX700 for almost five years, I can still recommend it (considering the price).
      Greetings to Australia,
      Bogdan

@@BH-ModernTimes Thanks, Bogdan. I have tried to copy your fingers and tune on my PSR-E373 and am doing ok but I have to keep going back to my PC to check some parts. I have the first few bars pretty much down pat. However, because I don't know the tune I am having a bit of trouble remembering just the keys you press when. I don't have a tablet or midi or whatever it is you use to do your "creating". 😉🤔
I also don't read music anymore and don't want to learn again. Learning to read music is very different to my day (many, many years ago) and it is just too hard. I always played by ear and that is what took me away from sheet music.
I use the flute and sometimes the accordion. The style I use is one of the Latin Styles.
That movie section I remember so I'm sure I never saw it in a cinema so must have been on tv sometime, a long time ago. Might have seen the whole movie, can't remember.
Yes, I agree that it is a genre of dance. It's from the 18th and 19th century (looked it up) and has probably migrated over the years.
That is one hell of a gripping tune.

@@gerrythornton1283 The style is created on keyboard itself (no other devices used) and I did that by ear -the song is pretty much unknown and I couldn't find music sheet for it. The melody is rather simple and so no music sheet is really needed to play it.
And of course I agree with you: it's an exceptional song.
