I love clips like these where Urban dissects the game like a true surgeon. He's easily the second best coaching mind of our times behind Saban.

@@ErikThomasMusic He literally beat Harbaugh in every matchup. I believe he's 7-0 vs Michigan. What are you talking about man?
With Smart, it's too early to tell but Smart certainly has time to overtake Urban in success. I still think Urban has better football acumen.

@@ErikThomasMusic You can’t have it both ways. If you say Harbaugh lost to Urban presumably due to uneven talent level then you can say the same about Urbana’s losses at Jags. One season is too short a sample to be judged upon and he took a complete dumpster fire of a program with a first time starter at the Pro level in Trevor Jackson so it’s not like he had good conditions to flourish there. In fact Harbaugh had much better infrastructure to succeed at Michigan than Urban had at Jags (compared to competition). Urban outcoached Harbaugh everytime (including 2016/18) when the talent disparity was minimal.
Harbaugh is a great coach but he’s below Urban in my book.

@@ErikThomasMusic Not true. Firstly, a bad 49ers in 2011/12 was way better than a bad jaguars in 19/20. Just look at the history of those franchises since 95 when Jags were added. Secondly, 49ers had a loaded roster and their only issue was the QB position unlike Jags.
Coming to Michigan, even during their bad years they’ve had a top 15-20 recruiting class and hence the situation he inherited at Michigan was nowhere close to the situation Urban inherited at Jags.
If you want to boil down Urbans success to the roster, you have to apply the same logic to Harbaughs success at 49ers. Harbaughs true turnaround at Michigan was only last 2 years. Till then, Michigan was mostly behind Ohio State and Penn State in B10 hierarchy.

It'd be nice if these were a bit longer.
