Chaplain story got me. Chaplain was a *captain?* Noo, that is not going to go unnoticed. Most chaplains are between O-3 (Army/AF/Marine captain or Navy lieutenant) and O-5 (Lieutenant Colonel or Commander.) A Naval chaplain being a full captain meant she likely commanded other chaplain and was a squadron or fleet level billet.
You dont get eagles on your collar by being a shit.

Chaplains usually start as a Captain, or Division 1 as its known here in Australia for the equivalent. But they are officers. I remember back watching MASH and Father Mulcahy's rank being a 1st Lt, he later got promoted to Capt. But the main reason they have such a rank is that they need to be able to tell soldiers of lower rank what they can and cant do, but hard to do that if you arent an officer. TBH I was a bit surprised that the Chaplain didnt immediately check to see why they had cancelled the appointment, would have been even better if she had caught them red handed doing what they did.
Also to add, in the US Army a Chaplain is usually a Captain, or gains it shortly after entry into active duty.

I'm ex Navy. The Chaplin I had on my ship was an idiot. I talked to him about an issue I had. And he ruined my life. Saying I was some mental case and forced to be discharged.
It was over 29 years ago. I went into a deep depression. And out of the blue. An old shipmate found me on Facebook, and wondered what happened. He said that not even the ship Captain knew what happened.
I told him what happened. And he was god-smacked (no pun).

Story 1 - My gran used to first ask them politely to move, and if they didnt, specially in the cases of women using the aisles to do their weekly chat sessions. So if they ignored or continued to block the aisle she would raise her voice and go "Look ladies, we know full well your cabooses arent that big, so once more, going to ask you to step to the side and let me through."
Story 11 - OP should have complained to either the franchise owner of the Subway, and/or directly to Subway themselves. Managers like that shouldnt be employed in any retail environment, specially when they are complaining about something they could have been helping to do.

On that last story, those two guys were damn lucky that they didn't get court-martialed on top of the dishonorable discharge. Not only do they lose all their benefits but they could very well have it ended up in Fort Leavenworth for a while, too.

Went to eat at a Subway around 9PM, they close at 10PM. There was barely any vegetables, bread, or ice tea left. The managers daughter and wife came in to get subs to bring home. The managers wife called her husband and he drove down to see what was going on. The two teenaged boys behind the counter sheepishly told their manager that they throw almost everything out after 8 PM so they didn't have to clean up too much so they could get out early cause there was a party at one of their friends house they needed to get too. The manger fired them on the spot. The managers came to talk to me and the two others I was there with and gave us a refund on our subs since I barely got any vegetables. They left green peppers, lettuce (in which I am allergic to), hot peppers (in which I don't or can't stand hot spicy foods) and banana peppers (in which I am also allergic too) , and gave us coupons for future visits. I never went back to that location and used the coupons at another location, he told me we could go to other locations to use the coupons if we wanted to.

My agency once spoiled the time one general had at his base in England. Part of our function was the certification of plant products including fruits and vegetables to meet the import requirements of our trade partners. The United Kingdom had a certain requirement for freedom from a certain leaf miner fly. If you saw a swirling pattern on leaves you may know the insect. We had to make sure that the pest wasn’t present.
Needless to say, this pest was commonly found on celery especially out of CA. Don’t get me wrong the military buys grade A fruits and vegetables, but it sits for too long. Also, for a couple of months not one case of celery was allowed to be shipped to the United Kingdom.
We didn’t hear anything officially from our HQ about any problems at all, but the base did. Each interception was duly recorded and identified by our port entomologist with the specimen kept (legal concerns).
My contact on the base was a 1LT, she pulls me aside one day and with a grin tells me what was going on. The base commander in the United Kingdom made a complaint about the lack of celery. What?! It’s not like it was something extremely necessary for the troops health. No, it was for his comfort, each evening he would go to the officer’s club for a Bloody Mary and didn’t have a celery stick to stir it. The reply from the base was reserved saying it was beyond their control (in a military way of saying to pound sand). I told my supervisors and they told us to keep on doing what we were doing. That requirement was still in the United Kingdom’s import requirements to this day. If we certified and the Brits found the pest it would be an official complaint effecting our evaluations.

Where were you sending them from? How come that base commander couldn't just buy them local?

@@katherinehalling6630 This was in the early 1980’s at the now closed MOTBY (Bayonne, NJ).
As to why they couldn’t buy locally in the UK, that was up to military regulations and we were USDA, so we aren’t familiar with the Army regulations.

The Emergency Room story hit a nerve. I despise throwing up! I got a horrendous case of salmonella one night. Hubby got me to the ER and the reception lady was quite kind and said they would get me a bed so I didn’t need to lie on the floor. What I was too sick to say was that I COULD NOT STAND UP and if I tried to sit up, I would throw up while probably excreting out the other end as well. The funny part (now, not then) was that after making me go down the hall to the bathroom with my IV pole pulled along like a reluctant pet as I left a trail of posterior drainage down the length. By the time they put me in a room finally when there was nothing left to come out of either end. They then brought in a bedside potty chair! Why couldn’t I have had that in my ER room? Never used that potty chair. LOL!!!!

Imagine how much harm those two navy officers have caused to the world. It's not like Bill is their first casualty.
Now, imagine how many people in the govt and the service are like them. Imagine how many cops and judges. How many teachers, professors, doctors, etc...
    It explains a lot.
Most evil people never even stumble in life. This story is interesting because of how rare it is.
As for the dishonorable discharge, that's worse than being a felon. Like felons, they can't buy firearms, and I wouldn't be surprised if they can't vote.

Just saying training a dog to poop on command is common place. To think that they will not go without the command is ridiculous. The secret is the food schedule. Remember when dogs eat they will need to poop within a few hours. Use puppy pads for emergency situations and never punish a dog for accidents, Even Humans have accidents from time to time
