A lot of experts in the comments but I don't see any links to their videos. With any technique practice any knowing when to apply it is key. Once u learn the foundation of a technique by learning it from a basic position then you can start to adapt it to other scenarios. A lot of people don't understand that when it comes to learning moves like these. Of course there is no end all be all disarm.

There are some dangerous people in this world. It's not just the bad guys that get hostile, ordinary people can and do get hostile also. To think that you could take somebody down is foolish unless you do it everyday for a living. However, you certainly need to know how to respond if you get pulled into a fight.
If you want to really step this training up and learn that it is still very possible to get shot trying to take a gun from someone, use some simunition and the force on force training guns. There are many instances where this technique will lead to you getting shot more often than you will in disarming the attacker.
Yes, Simunition or an Airsoft pistol will do well for training. I recommend a blank gun pistol for the sound portion of the training. I know the blank gun is a risky thing involving the hand but with good practice & using tough gloves you'll most likely be fine if there was a mess up.
So far so good, I'm a security guard and I lift weights and do lots of pushups, I want to move on up to takedowns, handcuffs, and self defense. I carry a gun at some places. Maybe one day, become a bodyguard.
all this shot talking..... the title clearly says security training... for example if you join the military, they are not going to automatically deploy you. you have to go to BASIC training. 2/3 of the people who enlist have never shot a gun in their life. that's why it's TRAINING
This is a decent tactic. Whether it appears if she takes it seriously or not doesn’t matter as much as if she applies it when necessary. I’ve seen the most seriously focused trainees forget skills that more relaxed students retain.

That's the goal but sometimes you don't have that opportunity. Things can literally go from 0 to 100 in the blink of an eye. So it's good to be trained to at least give yourself some sort of advantage if it does go bad.

I'm been having my own gun about 18 years my beautiful Glock 19 I've been shooting rifle AR-15 it does recoil 300-yard. It's beautiful but the same time is dangerous I tried this with my friend with a paint ball gun same time he have Protection on his chest the way this guy was training did not work a shot him and what the fuck is this fucking bullshit training driving a gun like that you get your chest Blown Away it's funny the way you train in real life I will not grab a gun like that guy squeeze the trigger will kill you gun man will not let you grab the gun away from that person
exactly, glasses is not taking it seriously and is making it way harder than it is, it's like centrifugal force, going 2 different ways against an object, or something like that lol I know what I'm trying to say cause I've used it many times in martial arts . anyways even in practice to me that's a real gun and I will use about 75% force, repeat in mirror a bunch of times if have to it will save ur life or at least make someone think twice

As a security officer. I would do everything possible to avoid getting into this position, but it can happen. Good video but you need to train a lot to be good and accurate.
Okay i would not recommend this for everyone. Clearly in the practice you can see almost all of them will die with an experienced shooter. You need to assess the size, strength and environment. A disaster in progress here.

Just train BJJ or just some form of MMA. In all aspects of reality, trying to grab a gun is not as easy as it looks. No one is going to sit there and let you take their gun from them and definitely not as easy as he displays it.
Do you think officers security or police officers should have extra training on how to disarm a person if threatened. For instance if somebody is coming at you with a pipe would it be okay if I was a police officer for the first thing to grab would be my gun. I really enjoy your videos on youtube.
A person can naturally have slow reaction time, they train your conscience actions to make up for the possibility of subconscious slow reactions. Plus if you act you're no longer leaving the situation up to chance
I’m in know way an expert, heck not even close. But I grew up in a police and special forces family, and one thing you should know is if it can go wrong, act as if it will. So telling him to hold it like a gangster is exactly what everyone assumes will happen. And don’t get me wrong that is most likely, but let’s act like your attacker has a little bit of training and knows to keep your gun close to your chest then what? Always have a backup plan. That was my autobiography lol.

You can see multiple time with this technique that they get the firearm pointed away and then pull it back towards themselves and flag themselves again. This is not a training issue, it's a technique issue. In almost all of these situations they pull the arm back towards themselves and if they miss with the other hand trying to grab the gun or lose control of the gun during the pull or struggle that is sure to ensue (Which can happen no matter how many hours of training you have) they are going to put the firearm right back on themselves and more than likely be shot.

Im saying that in security training things like this shouldnt be taught or shown. BUT what im trying to say is that its unrealistic most the things they train or show. In my opinion a Security person SHOULD be training or have been training some sort of combat sport such as MMA, boxing, Muay Tai or BJJ, for atleast a year BEFORE they become a security guard. I myself am currently doing a 17 day security course to be able to work as a security officer. I have been training boxing for over 2 years. Which will obviously help in situation like this. Conclusion of my argument: implement some sort of combat sport training in security training.

That's some bad advice in this video people. No disrespect to whom ever, but first thing you do when disarming is yes hold your hands up but second is always break the trigger finger and your technique should always always only be one move. Never touch the slide of the gun before breaking the trigger finger like this guy in the video. A bullet is not the only thing coming out of that gun. you have a red hot casing discharging from the slide along with contending to getting a finger or skin ripped off when the gun fires and your hands caught in the chamber.

Depends on state law, and the manner that you were charging the officer. It most cases, it wouldn't lead to an officer using deadly force.
