@TRAVELMANOFKENT they are quite the spectical. I was lucky enough to be at Duxford quite a few years ago when they recreated a Douglas Bader big wing with the largest flight of spitfires and hurricanes. Epic sight and sound
Wow that must of been amazing to see, I remember a few years ago over kent they had the biggest collection of DC-3s flying over for the WW2 memorial I think in 2020?
@TRAVELMANOFKENT ah yes I think I recall that happening. I do always find it interesting how railway people seem to be also taken with classic aircraft or vehicles in general aswell, suppose its a engineering heritage thing maybe.
@kineticrail when you grow up with Thomas, Fred Dibnah and Topgear amongst others you can't go wrong! It's must be an engineering perspective as I love all things combustion 👌🏻
Great video, thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it! not my best but I only decided on the day 🤣 more to come innthe future as I love combustion of all kinds 😄
You can't beat the purr of a merlin engine. Such a lovely sound
Definitely, when hearing it that close up I couldn't help but get a little emotional about it to be honest. Just hits you where it hurts!
