    A couple weeks ago I just canned cranberry juice and black cherry juice for the first time and it is so delicious! One thing I did when I opened a black cherry juice was I made lemonade and added that to it so so yummy🎉 I eat the fruit😅
    It makes my heart so happy to see the younger generation learning these life skills!❤

    I’ve made 3 batches of cranberry, pineapple & orange sauce since before Thanksgiving but didn’t even think about juice in the jar like this! Great idea, esp bc of the portions. You can open what you need at the time vs a big bottle. One thing I learned in my almost 30 years of canning was to remove the bands. I’ve rusted out so many by not doing so. Thank you!

      Hello I have my cranberry juice started,can’t wait until it’s done. Question. I have 6 lbs of frozen strawberries can I use the same recipe for that,would I need to thaw the strawberries, I was going to make jam with it but, I think I would like the juice better.

    • @chrissyfrancis8952
      @chrissyfrancis8952 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alfredacaudle3374 Idk about that, I’ve never made juice this way. Hopefully someone else can help you. I’ve only done juice by steeping it then straining it.

    I can cranberry, and grape juice this way. Love it. Sometimes I open both jars and pour it together to have a cran grape juice. Yesterday I just took my grape juice and make jello out of it using beef gelatin, idea came from that 1870’s homestead last winter. Love my juice this way! Diane Hartley

    This is great! This past fall I made a batch of cranberry juice this way and cran pineapple. As part of my pantry challenge for this month, last weekend I pulled the rest of my berry's out and made 2 more batches of cranberry juice. I canned in quarts using 2 cups cranberries and 1/4 cup sugar topping with water. .

    What a good helper! I love that you're teaching him young. I am now teaching my Grandson and two great graddaughters how to preserve and grow. It is so important for them to learn these skills. I have never canned jice, because it seemed like such a long process, but definately will this year. i have cranberries in my freezer so i will be trying this next time the kids have a day off school. Thankyou for the infor. I am 72 years old, so here is proof of the saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" not being true!
