    I love Dawn. The most irritating thing to hear over and over again in these INTERVIEWS is the solo album Terry got to do. Maxine And Cindy didn't do a solo album. Dawn was offered a solo album to distract her from complaining.Sylvia Rhone had no intention of putting a solo album out for Dawn. Not at that time.It would've made more since to do another Envogue album. She just wanted Dawn to stop complaining. This part of the story never changes, in every interview. It's like she got more candy than me. Having her own platform would be wonderful!

      I'm sure there will be more details in the book. I hope they patch it up. There's music and money to be made

      Sylvia may have let her do her solo thing if she waited. I think because Terry album didn't do well, Sylvia said why waste more money now doing Dawn's album. I'm still confused about if she left the group or was kicked out. She has said both. The way this has turned out for Dawn is unfortunate however if you listen to some of the interviews, past and present, yo will see she just made bad decision after bad decision. She did wind up joining the group again in 2009 only to leave.

      Hearing Dawn's recollection of the original 4 signing with Sony, Warner bros or Rufftown, I was shocked as to why they would pick Rufftown and not look at the fine print!!. That Warner deal might of put them back in the spotlight!!!! but they decided to pick an unproven independant label. The other 3 ladies have no business sense!.

      @@geester This was because Terry Ellis was listening to her boyfriend, producer Denzil McFoster. A lot of the decisions for (Envogue) was made based on Terry's relationship with Denny.

    What made EN VOGUE so powerful when they came on the seen in 1990 was their style they was wearing gowns they was all singing in harmony and they had super star singing voices they dances was in fashion poses something we never saw before they shocked every one they was saying who are these girls and what made it so cool with them they singing in the style of the 60's and 90's which made them so awesome , they out did all the girl groups with their model type style and that name that stuck EN VOGUE, Dawn I would say was the best girl in the group she stood out, it was just sad they wasn't getting paid like they should the producers rip them off, how sad.

    I am curious about the $0.02 per record. Did EnVogue receive any pocket money from endorsements, commercials or "Hanging with Mr. Cooper" theme song? Or did the bad contract steal that money too? Thanks

    • @geester
      @geester 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Not to mention tours, merch sales. Most artsits make all their money their money through tours and merch so it would be interesting to know those details, im sure Dawn will disclose those things if asked!!.

    Correction....Dawn said it wrong. Patti Labelle and The Bluebells and Labelle was all the same people minus one. Cindy Birdsong was the one who left the group to join the Supremes. Patti Labelle, Sarah Dash, and Nona Hendrix made up both groups.

    The funny thing is she will talk about other people cheating her out of money but she won’t talk about how she is blocking her the fans on social media that donate to her. She is that desperate to get out of her mother’s house
