  • This easy strawberry glaze is made with strawberry Jell-O flavor gelatin. You can use strawberry juice/puree to replace the water in this recipe.
This is a double-batch recipe that I made for a few recipes. You can reduce it by half for one-time use.
The room temperature glace is pourable and great for making fresh strawberry pie, trifle, cake topping, or mixed with frosting/buttercream.
When refrigerating the glaze, it will turn solid since it is made with gelatin. I let it come to room temperature and stir it well until it is spreadable. Then I can use it for cake filling or Swiss roll filling.
You can also reheat the glaze in the microwave for 30 seconds and stir until it returns to the pourable stage. Add 15 seconds intervals if needed.
Substitute the strawberry gelatin with a different flavor of gelatin for variety.
    Ingredients:
    3 cups water
    2 cups sugar
    6 tbsp cornstarch
    1/4-1/2 tsp salt
2 (3 oz.) boxes of strawberry Jeel-O flavor gelatin
    1 tsp vanilla extract
2-4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened if using (Note: I do not use the butter at this time.)
    Method:
    1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, cornstarch, and salt together until the cornstarch is dissolved.
    2. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, and bring it to a boil.
    3. When the mixture turns translucent and starts boiling, turn off the heat.
    4. Add the strawberry gelatin to the hot mixture and stir well vigorously with a wire whisk until the gelatin is dissolved for about 2 minutes.
    5. Stir in vanilla extract and softened butter, if using.
    6. Transfer the glaze to a bowl and let it come to room temperature for a pourable glaze.
    7. If Keep the graze in the fridge after using it, it will solidify like soft jello. You can reuse it by bringing it to room temperature and stirring it well until spreadable. Great for cake filling.
    8. If you want a pourable stage, microwave it for 30 seconds and stir well until liquified. Microwave for 15 seconds (intervals) more if needed.

Thank you for this delicious recipe. I'm making strawberry shortcake for dessert, so I purchased some strawberry glaze from my local grocer, only to find out that I'd purchased the sugar-free version and it was horrible. I came across your recipe. It's easy and delicious and I had all the ingredients in my pantry.

How do you make this sugar free ?

    • @wanidacarter11
      @wanidacarter11  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

You can substitute sugar with monk fruit sweetener/Stevia/or other sugar substitute. Replace the regular strawberry Jell-O with sugar-free Jell-O.

Can I use less cornstarch, so it won’t solidify in the fridge that much? TYSM🥰

You can decreae the amount of the cornstarch some. If you decrease too much it will turn to jelly. All you have to do is warm it up in the microwave for 20-30 seconds and stir until liquidy again.

Thanks for such a great recipe! Question?… I’d like to use this glaze as a drizzle exactly like how you presented your strawberry cheesecake topping in the video ( the one that was sliced and dripping onto the plate). Will the glaze clump and turn to more of a jellylike state as it cools? I like how ”liquidy” it is and would like to keep that presentation. I don’t mind if it thickens some, as long as it doesn’t clump or look too jelloey lol. Thank you so much!

@@MsMisskiki13 If you don't put it in the fridge it will stay liquidy. If you keep it in the fridge and it turns solid, you can microwave it for 30-45 seconds and stir it until liquidy again.

I need this recipe for coating a strawberry made with fondant icing.
Can you give me an idea where i can straight of use strawberry jelly instead of using sugar because jelly aleady contains sugar so that i will have a little hardening glaze and im only coating ther icing strawberry. Cna you help me with quantity of strawbery jelly and water and corflour.
So I don't have to go through experimenting would save me time.
    Thank you
If you have any new ideas of my strawberry made with fondant icing.
I also have a mold for strawberry making.
I'm not an expert just for fun I make cake for my closest friends it's a hobby watching TH-cam I make.

You can use poured fondant for petit fours recipes and substitute the corn syrup with honey, maple, or golden syrup. There are many recipes for poured fondant on TH-cam. I haven't made one yet. Hope it helps.

Can this be tweaked to be used as a ganache...or do you maybe have a completely different recipe for that?

    • @wanidacarter11
      @wanidacarter11  ปีที่แล้ว

You can tweak it to be a moose by folding in whipped cream but I don't know how to tweak it to make a ganache.
