The playing is great. Faddis is a legend. I will never, ever, understand the videography in these videos. It doesn't take much to improve the quality so people don't get seasick while listening to the music.
Playing clean. Hard to do in so many instances, but especially with Bird, and these guys, this band, plays clean. Humble congratulations! I hope you have ways to keep going.
The tempo of this gig is spot-on. In a big band, the tempo can sometimes drag a bit because of all the interaction between players, but here the rhythm section keeps it tight and drives it straight through to the end. It really feels like the kind of tempo you'd hear back in the swing era. Makes me want to get up and dance..
