Gee, I dunno if Nash would've approved a GUITAR being named after him! :-) He took great pride in never having a guitar on any of his albums, to the point where he (apparently) turned down David Gilmour's offer to add a track to a song on Children of the Night. And adding "there are no guitars" on the liner-note list of musicians on it.
@@colinbrunton1945 Oh yes - I am well aware of the "No Guitars" disclaimer in the same way Queen had "no synthesisers"! The guitar is white and cream, a bit like his outfit, and can make quite a noise! Seeing him all those years ago left a lasting impression on me! My wife, who has no experience of Nash the Slash likes to claim the guitar is named after "Nashville" as she likes playing country music on it. Make of that what you will! I am Nash sure would laugh! :-)
Super interview as usual Ste, learnt so much about Nash I didn't know!! I'm a huge Numan fan since early 1979 and I absolutely love your work and passion for all things Numan, but you once said you were tracking down Dennis/Francis Haines for an interview!! As the 'Telekon' era is by far my favourite part of Gary's career, are you any closer to getting that interview with Dennis/Francis?? So many of us would dearly love to hear what he has to say, the Teletour sacking for Roger Mason, the reinstatement for the Wembley gigs, Dramatis, first he was in it, then he was out!! it would be so enthralling!! Please get the interview!!
I get a little green around the gills when internationally, Canada is known for horrble Nickelback! All the best for getting this Nash film out there!! I have very fond memories of the Edge and got to play there just weeks before it shut down!
Tell me about it, Roger! We're really excited about getting this out there, putting a spotlight back on Nash, and showing the world that Canada is a lot more interesting than they might think.
Another fab interview, Steve! I can't wait to see this film/documentary about Nash!!
Wow ......what an interview!
Thanks again, Steve! That was fun. And yes -- while I am a pale man IRL, I DO need to get a green-screen.
Just caught up with this.
Nice one Steve. Great chat this was. 👍
great stuff Steve
My electric guitar is called "Nash" - after this man! First saw him in 1980 in Brighton on the Teletour.
