Look at all the brown kids and disabled kids in Australia and the UK that have died due to being denied medical care in Emergency Departments when they were acutely sick. As a woman who suffered an ectopic pregnancy, I support the right to end a pregnancy. This woman should never have gone through what she had to endure. I don’t think the government has any place between the medical doctor and the patient.

My husband went into septic shock and nearly lost his lower leg. We're blessed that he recovered although he'll never be the same again as it affected his heart. I feel for her as my husband can remember very little of that. She remembers all of it and now cannot have a child of her own. When did America become Red China?

It upsetting to me as a nurse that many medical people worked hard 24/7 for days, weeks, months to keep Gov. Abbott alive and then the ardous task of rehab. He would not be here if it were not for the devoted medical care he received. Is he grateful to God? Did it open his heart to show compassion to his brothers and sisters in the Lord? Apparantly not. He arrogantly denies life saving care to others. I am so sorry for the horrible suffering physically, emotionally, and mentally you have experienced. The physical damage is inexcusable and cruel. I admire your courage, strength, and compassion in speaking up for others in need of rational, critical care in all aspects of pregnancy.
As a Christian I don't see how people like this can serve in office and then claim they are doing the Lord's work by hurting people.

you realize if roe vs wade was actually part of the constitution then it would have been amended to say so and it never was. also doctors lie all the time in order to get more money from someone. i had a doctor tell me i had placenta previa. im not a trained obgyn but i had two kids before that and know what the placenta looks like in an ultrasound and even i could tell she knew i didnt have it. so yes they do do it

Let's remember, this woman WANTED her baby, but something went awry and the baby died in her womb. She could not receive the care she needed and had to wait for the deceased baby to "rot" inside her before she could have it removed, which rendered her UNABLE to become pregnant again. They WANTED their baby.

I did not find it to be clear that the baby was dead in the womb, but eventually non-viable? I have never heard of a deceased baby not being birthed/aborted ASAP and we just had family in Texas experience it at 30 weeks along.. though it’s a different situation.
@@fiercecoffee1634 Sepsis is caused by the dead tissue inside her decaying. The baby was dead. The body doesn't always 'birth' it immediately. That's why we're supposed to be able to get medical care to help out.

It is incomprehensible that something like this can take place in 2024, I am simple appalled. I applaud this woman for speaking out, she is incredibly strong.
I recently had a talk with my mom about this. I knew my grandmother had a still born after my mother. But I didn’t know she had to carry the baby (deceased) for a period of time. The trauma was obviously immense and my grandmother never truly recovered from it.
I can’t imagine this happening in modern day medicine. I wish this woman all the best, she didn’t deserve any of this.

I am pro-life but I saw this first hand when one of my closest friends found out that her baby would not be able to live. She went to a checkup and her uterus was measuring entirely too large very quickly. The doctor immediately called the hospital to schedule a procedure I forget the technical name of it but he was explaining the dangers involved with her trying to even carry the pregnancy to term. She initially wanted to try to at least get to terms so she could donate the baby's organs. I feel so bad for this woman. I do not understand why we are allowing so many non-healthcare people to create legislation that deals with health care. I heard somebody once say that a politician even said oh well if they have to take out an ectopic pregnancy they should replant it in the uterus.... My jaw dropped because I just thought of how stupid that sounded obviously some of the people who have ectopic pregnancies want the child so if that was something that could be done wouldn't it be done already?

I had a failed miscarriage in California and they didn’t want to do a D&C at the hospital because apparently it wasn’t “life threatening” and I went into septic shock and almost died.
The way women are treated in this country is atrocious!!!

A dear friend's full term baby strangled on his umbilical cord just one week before he was due. This happened on a Sunday and they had to schedule an induction the next day in the evening. It was very, very traumatic for her. She said people kept asking what she was having, when was the baby due, etc. It nearly broke her. Thank goodness she was able to get medical care. I can't imaging being 9 months pregnant, the baby has expired and being forced to wait until the body expels the remains. That is unimaginably cruel and should be illegal.
As an OR nurse who once had an ectopic pregnancy patient a few times: it’s unbelievable to me that we have ruled that any care care that’s gyno in nature is automatically placed in the crime area. Please, many of 1 st pregnancies are aborted spontaneously. Having any STATE OR COUNTRY DECIDE THIA WHEN THE HEALTH MEDICAL BOARDS ARE NEGLIGENT WHEN THEY choose not to stop bleeding .
