Why would anyone have their babies in walkers near stairs without a gate? It doesn’t sound like the problem is with the walker... it sounds more like human error.

Wait a minute... 74% on stairs and using outside near a street? The issue is the parents... not the product. Seriously.. don't be stupid ppl...

Omg... have a baby gate at the stairs and don't EVER turn your back on a kid outside ever! This is stupid

74% fell downstairs doesn't seem like the walkers were the problem

It's called parents need to use common sense and watch and limit time baby plays in the walker not ban walkers all together

It’s not only dangerous but it messes with a baby’s development and prevents them from meeting their milestones and walking naturally

Other countries (in Europe) banned usage of walkers.

I was walking by 10 months thanks to walkers. My sibling also. And just like susannam said, we not only used walkers but also had a playpen/crib to move around on. The effect on development is likely due to EXTENSIVE use of walkers, which should never be the case. Everything in moderation!

walkers dont even help babies learn how to walk anyway

No wonder why these things are banned in my country

Walkers should not be used for babies (also any other "walk enhancers", hangers etc.). They postpone baby's natural development. The muscles and spine must strengthen naturally THEN the kid can walk and be in upward position. Gosh US people are quite behind developed world...

Nobody think a walker will help a child walk. They are a fun toy for the child to be active in. A baby walking a few months later is a non-problem.

Most RIDICULOUS think ever, if you have stairs.... barricade them.

It's not the walker it's the parents 🤦‍♀️

The walkers aren’t the danger, the parents’ stupidity is. Why on earth would anyone allow their baby to be in a walker anywhere but in the ground floor in their own home, and with an adult in eyesight?
