I applied that hydro slick to my brand new truck. Waited 30 sec to 2 min and it didn't come off good. Little blue specs still on the paint had to really wipe it over. Shook it well too
Hey there! Depending on the climate in your area, if it's colder then you can let it sit for up to 2 minutes for it to flash. If it's on the warmer side then we recommend removing it within 30 seconds. Another thing we recommend is to apply a thin coat to the surface. If it smears around then it could be that there was too much applied to the surface or the surface has a layer of contamination where the product will get caught onto. When you apply it, you should barely be able to see the product you're applying. If it's very thick and visible we recommend to keep stretching the product in the area until you have an even finish.
Makes sence.. my truck is white so good chance I put to much on being I couldn't really tell lol. Just had to use a few extra dry towels but came clean eventually and looks good
Just finished ceramic coating my car... What next? What products do i use to maintain it? Hydrosuds to wash then hydro slick to boost d coating? Is this right?
So I just applied hydro slick to my car and I love it, but am I shortening the durability of it by using sticky snowball every weekend? Can I mix it with hydro suds in my foam cannon?
Question: ceramics last about a year ish. So when it’s time to redo the ceramic do I use clean slate again to start fresh or just wash/clay and add another coat of ceramic? Thanks. One more question: I like a little shine to my interior dash and things. What can I add to make it look just a little more shiny inside? Thanks.
Ceramic coatings in general offer a more durable layer of protection when compared to a paste wax, but paste waxes have more in terms of oils and natural carnauba that will give your paint a deeper and warmer shine. They do share the protective properties of a ceramic coating like UV protection, hydrophobic properties, etc... but in terms of durability a ceramic coating is definitely the way to go!
It can vary depending on the environment you live in, what products you use to maintain it, etc... With a product like our HydroSlick it can last up to 12 months with one application. With a product like our Carbon Force ceramic coating it can last up to 5 years.

Yes. Many new vehicles get dirty quickly just from normal driving and sitting parked outside. Pollen, dust, etc. Chemical Guys has a couple videos out detailing brand new vehicles.

Hey
Can I apply ceramic coating out on my driveway since I don’t have a garage?
Thanks
Can I do jet seal then wash then do hydro slick?
Also, is it just more durable than a regular paste wax or does it have enhanced properties of resisting UV rays etc.?

Can you add a layer of wax over top ceramic...
@@kirbyc1370 yes you can, I saw a previous video they did saying you can. I don’t remember which video it was, I’m watching a lot from the channel.
I put carbon force on in the spring and have some leftover. Would I be able to add another coat, would it still bond and add shine/protection?
do i have to buff before applying hydro slick ceramic?
When you say vinyl, what about Vinyl wrapped or PPF ?
What is the typical life of the ceramic coating after applying it? I don’t believe that was addressed in the video yet
He did specify.

From 12 months until few years, depending on product you decide to put on the car.
Why do you’ll keep forgetting hydro thread? 😕 would love to see a video with hydro interior, hydro leather and hydro thread for the interior.
What is the best product for brand new paint on a show truck
