    If you are going to get a job that requires an app on your phone that tracks you, get a regular flip phone. Bring that one in to work as your personal phone. "Boss, my phones doesn't support apps." If they want you to have a tracking app, they will have to get you a company phone. Then you can leave it at work when your shift is over.

      a very good idea but i'm not sure how many jobs are actually worth that kinda effort & subterfuge

      so what a lot of companies are doing now is saying they won't support certain phones. i literally built a phone from a raspberry pie, was REALLY PROUD of it, took it in with the straightest face, and they didn't allow a phone number. my mom tried with a normal flip phone with the same result. i later tried with a custom android rom phone and same thing. finally found one to support the custom android one, but took some searching.

    If you don't have privacy, you are trusting the people violating it not to enslave you. You have zero competitive advantage, you have zero first mover advantage, the intellectual property system will leave you, at best, scraps.

    You can change or manipulate data and videos with AI at any time. Hackers or governments can make you disappear on cameras if they want it!

    i carry my work phone whilst working. Its switched off at home when im not working.

      It still tracks you when its switched off. The communications are still on no matter what.
