- ☀️ WELCOME! ☀️ Join me for this BEGINNER FRIENDLY quilt tutorial made from 10 inch squares (layer cakes). Is your LAYER CAKE 🍰 stash out of control? This is quilt #10 in this layer cake series! I got 5 yards of fabric very cheap at an estate sale recently. I cut it up into 10 inch squares (Layer Cakes). I had enough to make two quilt tops and finished both in 4 hours and 15 minutes.
To make ONE of this quilt top I used:
30 - 10 inch squares in dark fabric
12 - 10 inch squares in light fabric
6 x 7 quilt layout
The finished quilt top measures approximately 52.75 inches by 64 inches. Stay tuned as I continue to work through my layer cake stash!

Hi Annette, what are you using to mark your fabric in this video? Lovely quilt, I love the brown and white together too. Of course, I thought of the movie Pretty Woman and the beautiful brown polka dot dress she wore!
I just use the closest ink pen… 😂. I thought of that movie 🎥 too!!
