Mylar tubing is still my most hated fly tying material, but your video helped me a lot!
Also, the biggest advantage by using mylar tubing is you can hide extra weight beneath it.

Just bought some pearl mylar tubing. Thanks Tim.
gravity always wins with the pearl tubing coat the hook shank with thread, use your imagination on colors, red , blue and orange are some of my favorites. The color shows through and adds to the pearl. I tie pearl on all my Mitchell Creek streamers.
I do one small change in your process , I cut the mylar at about two thirds of the hook length, tie in rear first, then stretch the tubing to the eye and tie in .
I always have trouble getting this stuff to cooperate, this is very helpful. Thank you so much
