I saw the devs of this on Reddit talking about the lawsuit they were involved in where they sued a games grant for denying funding to their game despite it being the most innovative of the lot. They fucking deserved to get the grant, they were looking for innovation and the games they funded weren't innovative at all.
Funnily enough, Lyle is right. Spelunky lets you set what the damsel in distress that follows you look like, a guy, a girl with big boobies, a cute dog. It does make you want to save them more if you make them look like a specific thing you like.

You know I have to give it to the developer for following through on the request of having an absolute episode on social media over this entire video and the absolute worthlessness and childishness of this trio. Really shows the amount of professionalism and respect they have for the player base. Although pointing out Tomar's involvement in the degradation of the ozone through his vintage smokestacks was a bit over the top.
I adore the way the little space men dance to the music at the end of the level. It reminds me of the avatar that bit-crush musician Rakohus uses (that pixel sprite of the karate guy dancing) with how smooth the animation is.

Bumper Jumper is SUPERIOR. Once you learn it, you can never go back. The dev likely made it default in this game because it means you can jump and aim at the same time. If it were on a face button then you have to take your thumb off the stick to do the action, rendering you COMPLETELY DEFENSELESS
