Enjoyed the podcast of the YARNIA store. Since my favorite color is orange; this viewing was even more enjoyable. The hat and the yarn is in my future purchases. Looking forward to many more travels of yarn shops. I live in SW Fl so this becomes a treat for me; visiting through you.
There is nothing better than finding and exploring new yarn stores! Please, please take us to more! The only thing that could be better is if I could be there, too! I love that orange gradient....what will it become, I wonder? Stay safe if you’re venturing out at night alone. ❤️
Natalie - thanks so much for visiting us and sharing the tour with your followers! I'm sorry we missed most of the preview. I was knitting with the Montclair Knitting Circle for the first time in so long and didn't look at my phone before I headed out. We are doing our WWKIP day gathering in the little park you showed early in the video. So if anyone in the NJ area wants to join us, please head on over -- we'll be there from noon to 2pm this Saturday, June 12. It's directly east of the Watchung Avenue train station in Montclair.
I really enjoyed the tour, thanks! When you mentioned that Yarnia is a 45-minute train ride away, all I could think was what a great opportunity to knit on the way there and back!
Loved the Yarnia tour. How fun. I think your sweater will be lovely. I’m hoping to get to Rhinebeck either this year or next. Maybe I’ll make a visit to Yarnia. But how to decide! Keep the yarn shop tours coming even though I’m from a small town in the Midwest, I like visiting shops across the country. Also, Rhinebeck tips, yes!
My fiance is from NJ! Every time we visit his family I always tell him how we need to make a stop at Yarnia! Loved getting to "meet" the ladies who run the store!
I am envious that your husband supports you! Also, you can knit on the train ride to and from Yarnia; who knows? Maybe you'll gain more knitting pals and even start your own knit group! 👍😊
Yarnia is one of my favorite places in town. Happy to see them getting plenty of love. In person Knit Nights are a go, if anyone is interested. And I was looking for that gauge tool! It's on my list for next time.
Their orange transparent and clear stitch markers with their name on them are the BOMB!! Yes, a totally cute place. Thank you for sharing with us, Natalie!! I'll be excited to see your sweater. The blue is really pretty; I'm sure you are going to look great in it!
We don't have many yarn shops in my area. This place is so cute! And that Furreal gave me an idea for something my son has been wanting! It never occurred to me to knit it. Oh my gosh... Brilliant!
So fun seeing yarn store videos! Now I feel a train trip from NY to NJ coming up if Yarnia is so easy to get to… just to see those beautiful yarns in person.
Montclair is the BEST! I went to Montclair State University, and this trip is a blast from my past! So glad to see you touring the tri-state area and having a blast!! Thanks for taking us along!
I just found Yarnia a few months ago on the NJ Wool Walk! They were so nice even on a very busy day. Hope you can make it to many other stores in the Garden State 😁

What a great store visit! My dream is to open a yarn store in my area ( a yarn desert ) that would be different from the big box stores. Thanks for sharing some grad branding ideas to think about!❤️
In our business plan, we described the area we were in as a "yarn desert"! When I moved to Montclair 20+ years ago there were at least 4 yarn stores - incredible! They all closed over time and eventually the closest ones to us were at least 40 minutes away with traffic... And so we created Yarnia! ~K
Cute store. We have a few LYS but right now they are closed due to covid. Hopefully soon they will open so I can check it out again and perhaps get a wooden gauge lol
