I wish I saw this video couple of days ago when I went to Como (so close to Monza). You should definitely visit Florence as there are some nice wool shops here (Camplolmi right behind the Duomo) and also a huge stand with Italian stock yarns at the Cascine market.
Camel is the colour (though I like your naming it biscuit better!) But, camel fibre is delightful to knit with. I picked up a half camel half wool yarn in Paris a few years back and it's so gorgeous and warm! Thanks so much for the video! I need to get myself to Milan!
Hi! I'm really in love with camel yarn now that I've discovered it - it's just so soft and snuggly. I swatched it yesterday and it looks like it will be really warm too. Oh the dream of yarn shopping in Paris! Last time I went I didn't know how to knit, so I hope I'll get to explore the yarn shops one day soon. Thanks for watching.
I have just discovered you on TH-cam a few days ago and love your podcast! Really enjoy your choice of knitting, how careful you are not to just buy, buy, buy … so refreshing to hear someone telling the truth, yarn is becoming very expensive and it’s an expensive hobby! Good choices of yarn and patterns, so classy and flattering on you. Love your style of podcasting, serene, truthful… I feel I’ve found real class here! Thank you, I’m enjoying getting to know your knitting ❤
Hi! Thanks for watching. Yarn is becoming more and more expensive and sometimes I feel like people don’t acknowledge that. It is easy to see huge stashes and think that is what you are supposed to have. I really hope you enjoy seeing all the purchases turning into projects! This was yarn that I got around my birthday and I was so excited to use it. 🧶
Thank you very much for sharing the beautiful things you are doing and enjoying with us , I love your podcast , the color you choose and wish you all the best
I would never have expected it to be so very soft! How interesting that they don't irritate you like wool - although I'm not allergic I can find more rustic pure wool quite scratchy sometimes too. These make gorgeous alternatives.
lovely to see your original sweater and the celebratory yarns after the release of the Claudia sweater! came looking for this video after wondering when your next design will come out so I can test again for you 💖
Thanks for watching! I've got a few things in the works but have been frogging everything recently. You were a great tester - I hope you apply for something again in the future. :)
Congratulations on your beautiful new sweater. I have purchased your mitts pattern and will be making them soon in a pretty plum color. Good luck with creating your new patterns. I really enjoy when you take us with you out and about. I've only visited Italy once and would love to go again. 🌸🌱🌼🐝
The sweater has been a long time in the making, but I'm so happy it's finally live. Thanks for buying my mitts - I hope that you really love them! Plum sounds like a gorgeous colour choice. It's nice now I'm feeling less shy about using my camera in public. I hope to make many more videos that show the lovely places I get to visit. My boyfriend has been helping out with filming too!
Hi i just found you, great video! And i adore your Claudia sweater, its beautifully made and the soft grey is a gorgeous colour. Hoping once I am better at knitting that i might be able to try and make one.
Thanks for watching and your kind words about the Claudia Sweater. I was surprised by how quickly I gained confidence with knitting the more I practiced. The mohair is also super forgiving!
Yes, it’s a brilliant little place. The online shop has so much to offer too though! It was quite a treat for me to see things in person because I almost always order online.
Thanks for clearing this up! I was very curious because I've never seen camel yarn outside of Italy. It's so extremely soft - definitely a new favourite.

Thank you so much for watching and sharing all my knitting adventures with me!
Camel yarn is similar to alpaca yarn 😁 it's their hair spun into fuzzy yarn 😁 I'm allergic to wool so camel & alpaca are what I use as a substitute 🤗

@@OrsaMakes Definitely 😁 love your videos btw 😁

My favorite yarn store in Milan is Lanadimiele. they are the sweetest and I am fortunate to live really close by
Yes! I love Lanadimiele - I visited for the first time after I made this video. So cute that they do coffee too. I wish I lived a little closer.
Oh, didn’t know Fior di Lana had a physical shop! Wish it wasn’t so far for me… ❤️

Love the sweater! 🤩

Yes, cammello only means camel, both the animal and the colour 🐫☺️
