Nice vid. We got a 2019 ranger and going to take it's 1st road trip. I wanted to see how this tire change is done. I know it's in the manual too. I hope that chain lift will support the custom type tire that is on truck! Assuming the regular tire went flat. I like your patriotic R A N G E R letters! Thanks

Thanks for the clear video! All I could find in the manual was how to remove the piece from the hole in the bumper and I’ve been confused how this works as long as I’ve owned my truck. Admittedly I probably would’ve figured it out quicker if I’d had another pickup before lol.
Thank you for making this video. The owner's manual is not very clear about where the access hole is and you were correct about what people think the key lock is for. I was about to go to the local Ford dealer and ask for help in locating it. You saved me the embarrassment.

Why is that? I've purchased 5 Fords in a row now and I've never had any issues with them. 2012 Focus, 2012 Fusion, 2014 Fusion, 2018 Escape, 2020 Ranger.
One of the biggest complaints about my 2007 Ford ranger is the transmission blew out on the interstate. $5000 for a new transmission they said I'm lucky to be alive. The mechanics also said that is a common glitch with that model.

If your installing the Curt trailer hitch you will need to lower wheel a few inches so hitch will fit

I'm sure you could swap it out with a donut, but I like having a full size spare.

Yes the tire size is the exact same. I haven't had to use it yet (knock on wood), but I'm happy that it is a full size spare!
