I spent the past two weeks putting together two 1:60 scale perfect grade gunpla kits and posing them in an epic duel. I was assembling the kits alone for a total of 20 hours, hence the delayed upload!

Man, what I'd give to see you recreate any pivotal scene involving Shiro's Ez-8 vs. Norris' Gouf Custom. That final battle in the abandoned city was the stuff of legends.

The Gouf B3 was a beast.
I love it when you incorporate lights. It makes everything awesome. Turns it up to 11.
When i was a child (2001), my mom traveled to Japan for a work related trip. When she came back, she brought a magazine, filled with photos of dioramas of gundams and the like that she got from a hobby store over there. I was so amazed by them, by the sence of scale, the quality of the dioramas themselves. This one is just like them
The bullet display got an audible laugh outta me. Great builds!
The difference in the amount of details makes it looks like those forest scenes when there is a single detailed tree, and you know that it is the MC tree.

Bandai runners are truly dark age of technology stuff compared to GW caveman sprues.

Absolutely. Like, Bandai sprues are.... so fucking good and GW sprues are just,,,, mid in comparison
I think it comes down to mass production scale. I doubt Bandai pumps out near as many sets as GeeDubs does, and GW also has a much smaller model scale to work with so likely less room for putting their sprues in. The more recent sprues are pretty damn good usually but holy hell are the pour spout locations or seam/mold lines crap at times.

Gundam is in Asia basically what Star wars is to us. That IP alone dwarfs the entirety of what GW does.
And yes it surely comes down to that .
Bandai models are better because they are a much bigger player in this kind of game.
But that isn't really an excuse for gw.
Warhammer could be much bigger and subsequently invest in better production if they made their models more affordable

Gunplas are made to be modified and painted for exactly what you made. Don't feel bad about it. This looks incredible. This would look great at the Gundam Base in Odaiba.

Looks great .I do really love the LED detail you added. That axe looks amazing. If you don't mind two pieces of unsolicited constructive criticism. I wish you cleaned up the seam lines a bit. It helps Gunpla look more "realistic" and less like a model. I know PGs already look really clean out the box, but I believe a paint job would make them look even better. That being said like always your diorama work is great. I loved hiding the LED switch in a rock.

The PGU RX-78 was one of the most satisfying builds for me. It looks great in every step and wish I could have multiple to show off each layer.

How about a 1 bullet diorama? Makes me think of something like The Matrix, how you can see bullets in slow motion bursting through different layers of materials, creating waves and ripples in the atmosphere...

really good work, but the sprue marks...
use a nail sanding stick to make them flush
and id recommend using gundam ink sticks for detailing the creases of the panels for a greater effect ( or something similar)

I've built a PG Strike Gundam, but I've had an eye on that PG Unleashed RX-78-2 kit since around the time it first released. It's such a nice kit, and I'm always amazed by what Bandai's engineers come up with.

I still use panel liner fluids on my smaller kits right now.
Also, It'd be an awesome custom diorama to make a wild imaginary west gundam - steam punk gundam perhaps?
