2mm vinyl is some where around 60-70/sq ft 3mm around 90/sq ft Company to company differ karta hai ki 1 box me kitne pcs ayenge. Usually 1 strip= 1.5 sq ft
Well any sort of PVC can be termed toxic. But there is no research which can prove that PVC flooring can lead to health problems. Yes, this product is not environment friendly, but there are pros and cons attached to all sort of products.

people do use them at time inside cupboards and bed, but i don't recommend the same. this product is not meant for this purpose actually
Also say if it is with self adhesive or not.
usually vinyl strips come without self adhesive, but some brand now offer self adhesive

I would not suggest SPC for stairs, rather go for Vinyl flooring or Wooden Flooring.
